but on the other 2 posts- i dunno, the problem is in today's mega globalized world, regressing backwards would kill. the world market's business confidence would fall temporarily - in the end the economy would ultimately skyrocket, but people don't look long term these days.

they really need someone to run as a republican / democrat and bust into office with totally new policies. merge the CIA/FBI (and eventually shut that down or just make it into what the CIA/FBI used to be: kick-ass), scrap the other 15,000,000 departments except that of the military. But the problem is: you would need like 50 years to do that, and I also think the beauracrats could find some way to impeach the president.
