Facebook is just Orkut/Friendster/myspace/AsianAvenue/6degrees for college students. I am just overblown with suprize at how such a massively reused idea managed to become so popular and successful.

I also don't understand how people can spend so much time on it, considering there really isn't that much you can even do. You can't even list 'all groups from your college' or something you have to search individually or look for links. There aren't even forums either. Seems pretty silly to me although I did join it

Facebook is significantly better than MySpace, if only because you get little to no say in the look & feel of your little webpage thing and you can't slather it with photographs (you only get 1).

Okay. At a school of 50,000 people it's kind of useful to completely blow up your parties. Only been to that one from facebook and I had fun. Free fuckin keg - what else do you need?
