For those interested, here are the figures:

    Canada -
    Area of Land: 9,220,970 km²
    Area of Water: 755,170 km²
    Total area: 9,976,140 km²

    United States -
    Area of Land: 9,158,960 km²
    Area of Water: 470,131 km²
    Total area: 9,629,091 km²

United States including its territories (eg: Virgin Islands, Guam, Puerto Rico, American Samoa, etc...)
    Total area: 9,639,810 km²

If Bush decides to suddenly annex Finland and it's 337,030 km², then the U.S. and its territories would be only 700 km² larger. Go get 'em, Dubya!

    Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_area and http://www.worldfactsandfigures.com/...ountry_asc.php

EDIT: If you include Iraq, the States would be just over a whopping 100,000 km² larger.

        That's skewed!

It only has 10 countries on there!

If you included all the countries the numbers would be different! But not significantly.

Ann Coulter is a bitch. She doesn't represent America. End of story.

Perfect example of what Jon Stewart talks about regarding the broken state of the American media. It's great theatre for middle america, but to call it journalism is farcical.
