Well I like Naruto just because of the continuance of the struggle for power. Its exciting to see Naruto grow in strength.. and overcomming his opponents. The fun part is when he has this enourmous power, but yet can't wield it. I'm just waiting to see when he unleases his full power. And the humor ain't that bad either..

your preception of anime has been spoiled by seeing too much dbz, dont base your opinion on some assumptions made from watching a crap anime. I suppose you would be suprised to find out that alot of anime doesent follow this trend, or atleast from what I have seen it doesent.

Ghost in the Shell is awesome, I recently picked up volumes one, two and three of Stand Alone Complex and preordered volume four as well as the Innocence movie. GitS is a manga done by Masamune Shirow, very well drawn I might add, he's also the artist of Appleseed and a few others. Anyway, manga first, then first movie, then SAC then Innocence. I thought I read somewhere that the Bebop movie was put in between episodes, forget which ones. Do not rely on Toonami or Adult Swim for anime, they butcher it, even if Adult Swim is late night and "mature", they still edit out quite a bit and anime in Japanese is far better than anime in English, though Mononoke Hime(Princess Mononoke) and Spirited Away are two good examples of well done English dubbed animes. Japanese anime is much better than American cartoons Mr. Monkey, hell Disney has even attempted to incorporate anime into their movies(read: Atlantis, it was HORRIBLE), and Disney even brought over Mononoke Hime and Spirited Away, both of which beat out and won Best Animated Picture awards over Disney's own movies. And, if you watch, a lot of American cartoons use anime inspired core design, pretty much everything current on Cartoon Network is anime inspired. Anyway, Bebop and Trigun, watch on DVD, not Toonami/Adult Swim. GitS, pick up the manga if you can, watch the first movie, then pick up the series and the second movie or you will be some what lost. I don't think SAC really continues the storyline from the original movie nor the manga, if it does then I simply don't remember, haven't watched the original movie in quite some time and have yet to pick up the manga.

DNA^2(Humor... story is based around a guy who gets physically sick when he sees women naked... and nearly all the women in the show attempt to fuck him)
Magical Shopping Arcade Abanobashi(Humor again, only seen volume one but it makes fun of a lot of core animes(read: Pokemon, Fist of the North Star, DBZ)
Sailor Moon(It's a classic, don't care if it's "girlie", the mangas are simply beautiful)
Escaflowne(Not see the whole series, unfortunately just the movie, which is a darker version of what they showed way back when on WB)
Fushigi Yuugi(Another classic, not seen this in ages)
Akira(Can't go wrong)
Iria
Kite(Adult, not strict hentai but there are three major sex scenes in this)

My list isn't very big, unfortunatly 've not been able to see much anime so basically the ones I have listed are ones I have... but there is Ninja Scroll as well n.n

In the future, society has a MAJOR population problem. The cause is the Mega-Playboy, men who are totally irresistible to women, due to their genes. One Mega-Playboy can make 100 women pregnant and the boys also become Mega-Playboys. Karin is an agent sent to the past to find the first Mega-Playboy and stop him with a special bullet. Karin, who dreams of having her very own "Sweet Home" (a rarity in the overcrowded future) finds the original Mega-Playboy, a young man named Junta. Junta has a problem; he throws up at anything even REMOTELY sexual, you do NOT want to be around if he glimpses a girl's panties! Perplexed, Karin shoots him anyway, then finds out she shot him with the wrong bullet! The drug inside of the bullet turns Junta into a Mega-Playboy and back. Now Karin has to figure out how to get out of the mess that she created, or else she won't get her sweet home! Other players in this chaos are Ami, a girl that Junta grew up with (and the only one he doesn't get sick around), Tomoko, first victim of Junta's Mega-Playboy powers and Ryuuji, the jealous boyfriend. Not to mention the hordes of girls who swoon when Junta powers up, including Karin.

I've recently watched Ai Yori Aoshi season 1 (if you can say so), I thought it was all good. Though I hope the relationship between Aoi and Kaoru will be more intimate in the next season. (Ai Yori Aoshi ~Enishi~) I hope it will be ready when I come home.. then its anime time!

Spidermage, hehe, soon I have seen almost all ecchi/romance anime there is to get (not the crappy ones though). ^-^

I had to google half of the words in these posts. I guess I didn't explain how clueless I am- in terms of anime, I've seen Voltron, Animatrix, Initial-D, and that's about it. I don't know what manga is (http://stuff.mit.edu/people/rei/Expl.html) and I don't know anything about anime.

But thanks for the pointers. I'll probably be off to torrent some stuff soon...
