  • My stand on "The Swan" and "The Swan: Pagent"

When I came to America, oh, about 13ish years ago, I came in search of a better world. A world of opportunities and a world full of white people to swindle. In a place where 30 year olds can be passed off as teenagers on television, and presidential elections where intellect doesn't really matter, I would soon come to another dramatic realization: being really beautiful matters because people will want to have sex with you if you're hot.

Anyway, The Swan proves to the world that anyone with enough plastic surgery and enough liposuction can indeed be beautiful! Forget the whole concept of God given beauty! And start praising the almighty dollar - because with about 50k, you too can change from an ugly duckling, to some botox-filled mutant and star in your own pagent. God bless America!

So now you've become incredibly hot. But here, there is another problem: Does being beautiful really save you from any heartache? YES IT DOES! Well, it doesn't really get rid of all the crappy things that happened before the transformation, but yes - now people will treat you better because you are more bangable. No one respected you when you were ugly, and now, through the miracle of technology, people respect you enough to want to do you.

So in conclusion, I would like to show my utmost respect to money. Because as we all know that without money, there can be no beautiful women to bang, no outrageous shows like The Swan, and no true joy in our individual love lives. There is no quality that attracts better than how green you are, even when you wear the dollar bills right on your face. So until next time, take care of yourself, and each other.

Bioture's whining is the only way I can tell if the world is on the right path or not.

      It is.

If it makes you feel better, this sort of thing isn't limited to America.

I lucked out and caught the swimsuit part of that show. They're still not that hot, but they look way better than they did. But also remember, they put in some work too. I'm sure a lot of the fat was sucked, but they had to work out and tone up.

If going on a tv show is what it takes them to get themselves together and feel good about themselves, let them have it. A good self image breeds success.

You spelled pageant wrong, but I didn't fix it because it's ironic in regards to your thread.

I wish I could make people beautiful for a living, alas I don't think I have the artistic talent.

Studies have proven that the general majority consider attractive people to be of a higher intelligence level than average looking people on a first impression basis, regardless of their actual presentation.

It is perfectly understandable if people want to enhance their looks/self-image in the name of future success. With the media's influence EVERYWHERE we look, you can't deny the pressure to look perfect. How else can a person feel truly competitive if they feel negatively about themself? Then again, look where it got Michael Jackson.

Of course, it's always a gamble and you really want to know ALL of your surgeon's historical results beforehand. Heheh, and good luck with that.

Personally though, I would say no.
