    You could say that.

They have all kinds of other stuff on the website (like news and interviews and such) but the draw is reviews of indie music by people who are into that kind of music.

There are lists for the last few years as well as best albums of the 70's,80's ,90's and such if you want to look at that stuff by the way. Those lists are always interesting.

I'm sure the top 50 worst guitar solos list would piss some people off.

After reading that joke of a list, I have come to the conclusion that Pitchfork has no respect for the true pioneers that paved the way for their shit parade to march through the middle of the music industry. :groovy:

that 50 worst is so stupid. No guitar solo containing Jimmie Page, or anyone from Pink Floyd should ever be put up as a worst solo of all time.Ever

yeah i used to think pitchfork was a good thing, because their reviews helped me decide which albums to download, and then i could decide which albums i wanted to buy, but now im getting pissed off because every single band pitchfork says is good (whether they are actually any good or not) seems to sell out every show here in dc, and its obnoxious knowing that the only reason a lot of people are at the show is because they want to be cool or whatever and be at the shows pitchfork says they should go to. that fiery furnaces album, for instance, is fucking terrible, but now that the exact same people that go to that show are going to be at the arcade fire show, i bet i wont get tickets

And I thought the metal kids were bad about being image-conscious. That's fucking pathetic.

I never even heard about pitchfork before, but if you put Pink Floyd and Jimmie Page in a top 50 worst guitar solo's ever you don't have a fucking clue what music is.

I downloaded snow patrol's album (Do they only have one? I think so, not sure) because I heard one song that kicked ass, I was completely disapointed with 80% of the cd.

They've got a few albums (Songs For Polar Bears is OK, Final Straw is great) and four singles - How To Be Dead, Spitting Games, Chocolate and Run. How can you not like Somewhere A Clock Is Ticking? They hit it big with Final Straw which is where the singles are lifted from

I have the Final Straw album and I thought at least half ... maybe a lil less than that was above avg material. The singles are great tho ... Run and Spitting Game. Only problem I had was that they all sound kinda the same to me ... but there are 2 ways to look at that ... they are have a consistent sound (if u like 1 song u like them all), or they don't have enuf variety for that particular album.

I tend to base my judgements on specific songs tho ... rather than the albums as a whole.

I gotta agree with Funeral as the best album of the year though. It's great.
