The compassion isn't from the internet Blood, it's from people who aren't complete assholes in life who happen to be on a Computer. I say the same message to people in real life and I'm sure Guru would. Don't try and be a DEA.

Yeah, terrible tragedy but it isn't documented much where I live so I have only seen it a couple of times on the news if that.

cos there were so many swedes in the area they have it on 24/7 here. My sister knows one who is "missing"..

Yea it's almost never on the news here either. My little brother got a shortwave radio for Christmas and he was listening to Radio Beijing (which is broadcasted in English) and he found out about the tsunami less than an hour after it happened. It was pretty weird listening to the broadcast compared to now - they were saying that 100 were dead and a projected number of 1,000 people are dead. Those numbers were a bit off.

Interesting thing is, there was a million and one more topic about WTC when they crashed and a few thousand dies, but it takes almost a week before anyone thinks about making a topic about this colossal destrucion. :down:

Thats because the WTC crash was something which was driven by other people. Natural disasters aren't really cared for by the media as much.

Or, thats because the WTC was in the almighty america, so every station in the world had to broadcast it because the almighty untouchable america got attacked omg omg omg..

But hey this is just in countries like somalia, indonesie, india, sri lanka.. who gives a crap about those.. aslong as it's not america. Because I will bet you if this happened in america, this would be all over the news all round the world and it would have been 10 times worse then now even if there far less people death.

But I heard about 1000 swedish people were missing, and also alot of germans. We right now have 5 confirmed death dutch people, and still alot missing.

Plus it involved America the Invincible getting bitchslapped. The American media doesn't cover this as frequently or as in-depth as they did 9/11 because America in general doesn't give a shit what happens elsewhere in the world.

Vindictive ranting aside, my thoughts are with those who have lost loved ones in this tragedy.
