Abigail and I, whenever we have kids, are going for Willow(girl) and Aden(boy). I like the names Stephanie, Cathrine, Heather and Destiny for girls. Blade, Ethan and Celes for boys.

Dude Spider you're my dawg* and everything but if you name your little boy Blade everyone on Earth (and some not on it) will laugh at him. Trust me, you probably know what my name is** and if you do you'd know that I know what I'm talking about.

Congrats on the baby Goddess! I'm not good at baby names so I'll stop right now so I won't embarass myself.

Firstly: Congrats on the baby, hope he/she turns out to be nice and healthy when born.

Secondly: For names, I've always favoured more normal names.

Girl: Katie, Stephanie, Jessica are all nice names.

Boy: Steven, Michael, Alex are all nice names.

I don't like it when people want original names, firstly it makes you look pretentious (sp?) and secondly the child is more likely to be picked on.

Also, do not, I repeat, DO NOT, call your child Aragorn unless you want him to be the butt of many many LOTR jokes and I guarante he'll be picked on/laughed at too.

Very often when people want an "original" name for their baby, they end up naming their baby something stupid. Original is fine, but don't forget that the kid has to live with it.

Bad names: Blade,Aragorn, Celes, and any other videogame/ comic book character besides Peter and Scott.

Good names: Peter , Scott, Ethan, Josh, Nick, etc. Common sense, basically.

For Girls:
---------

Bad names: Paradise, Indigo, any other stripper names (Indigo? Paradise? :fear: ), any kind of fruit/flower or videogame/romance novel character

Good names; Lisa, Natalie, Cassie, Diana, Kristen, Heather, etc etc. Again, common sense.

persia isnt that bad a name but aragorn and destiny are terrible. if you want a unique name, i suggest making up a name completely, not using a word or fantasy novel character. ive always thought it was cool that black culture seems to support coming up with unique names. not like id neccessarily want to name my kid d'brickashaw or anfernee specifically, but i think its cool when someone has a name that very few other people have. using a word is going to get the kid made fun of in elementary school, using a fantasy novel character is going to get him made fun of in high school.

I already told you my congrats, but congrats again.

So I see you want to name your baby something original. Well, why not make the middle name original? That way, they won't get made fun of, and they will have a cool original middle name, but they wouldn't have to tell anybody what it was if they didn't want to. I myself have a pretty weird middle name, True (make fun of me for that and you die). Speaking from past experiences, make sure if you do that you just put the middle initial on school papers so you won't end up with a substitute teacher that calls you by your middle name the whole class period <_<.

Anyway, here are some names I like

Girl : Chloe, Monique, Dawn

Boy : Jared, Austin, Logan, Clancey (just kidding)
