A British tabloid is reporting that the couple became engaged because Spears, 22, is pregnant. The News of the World reported that Spears in expecting the couple's first child in late December. The report said that Britney would like to be married by November, well before the baby is born.

Anyone else got some certain sources out there that verify or prove this wrong? I got the news sitting around in my uni's cafeteria, and it just came out of nowhere, like "you guys know Britney Spears is pregnant? What a ho". I had no idea, so I looked it up, but most of the sources are kinda unreliable.

If she is pregnant, and goes through with having the baby, do you think thats the end of her musical career?

You do know that she has already gotten married, and since that quotation talks about her wanting to get married in the future tense, that means that your source is a few months old and "late December" means "last month".

She went to a mall, forget which one, and was asking about maternity wear for the summer and for the winter, and what styles are in, what's comfortable, and all that sort of stuff with someone at a maternity store a couple of weeks ago.
