The child could not sit up on it's own with the second head. So it would not have had very high quality of life.

I think it's a terrible situation, especially for the parents. The second head was an individual child, just not an entire one.

The weight of it meant that although Manar developed normally, she could not sit or crawl.

That is sad. But what would happen if both children wouldn't live if the other child was still attached? Then you'd probably have to do it because it'll be better to save one than let both die.
