stormscale is better only 6k players. horde is outnumbered as usual. killing on pvp is fun. I ganked a lvl 30 warrior yesterday after he finished fighting some elite mob. He was pissed.

Yah, I see Skullcrusher is having some problems and is actually often down. Lightning's Blade is one of the rare servers that has absolutely no down time, no queues and minimum lag. It's a relatively smally sever however, but it's still nice. It's nice when your realm forums are filled with familiar faces you just ran down and spat on earlier that day. I think our server will be one of the last to have beaten Onyxia, I think there's only about 20 or so people that have an Onyxia key on the Horde and pretty much all on different guilds. Alliance also outweighs us at about 1.5:1 but 60s they outweigh us about 4:1. Not one raid group on either side has successfully taken down a race leader (though they got Cairne to about 15%).
I think they have over 40-50 lvl 60's. Yeah skullcrusher isn't horrible downtime wise but there's been a lot of problems lately. I'm not sure if Horde or Alliance are outnumbered on our server but some zones are just too retarded to bother with. Any Horde who tries to quest in Stranglethorn Vale below level 45 is dumb. PvP in WoW really doesn't work when the servers have 2-3 times the population they're supposed to have. There's an alliance guild that raids Orgrimmar just to crash the Kalimdor server. They also enjoy camping Blackrock Moutain and Mind Controlling anyone who's trying to do any of the instances there.

              1. How does the level spread go? Is it a large mix of level 1's to 60's in the towns? Or are there distinct areas where high levels are and other areas where low levels are?

              2. Is it easy to find where your friends are in the server? Like a ?find command of sorts.

              3. Can any race be any class successfully? Like, say, I wanna be a Night Elf Paladin. Would that work? Or would I be pushed into, say, archery as a class for Elves and should stay away from them for warrior classes?

and lastly, 4. What class(es) can use polearms properly?

I'm probably buying this when I get paid

There is a friends list, you can add anyone on the server to that list as long as they are of the same faction. (Horde/Alliance)

Regarding the race and class things, there are limitations.
Like Tauren cannot be rogues, no horde can be a paladin. Only horde can be a shaman (Tauren, Troll and Orc). I don't think Night Elves can be paladin but they can be druids like the tauren.
I believe there are race restrictions on weapons, like night elves cannot use guns. Warriors can use polearms, maybe shamans as well.

Blizzard got rid of the race restrictions on weapons, only your class choice affects restrictions now.

Anyway, here's a list of class choices available to each race.

                  Alliance
Night Elf: Druid, Hunter, Warrior, Rogue, Priest
Human: Warrior, Rogue, Paladin, Priest, Mage, Warlock
                  Gnome: Warrior, Rogue, Mage, Warlock
Dwarf: Warrior, Priest, Paladin, Hunter, Rogue

                  Horde
Troll: Warrior, Rogue, Priest, Mage, Shaman, Hunter
Orc: Warrior, Rogue, Warlock, Shaman, Hunter
                  Tauren: Warrior, Druid, Shaman, Hunter
Undead: Warrior, Rogue, Warlock, Priest, Mage

I believe only Hunters, Warriors and Paladins can use Polearms. A lot of polearms are spears, they used to be seperate weapon classes in beta but blizzard combined them.

Each faction has main cities where you'll find a good mix of levels. The main cities with Auction Houses are usually very crowded (Orgrimmar and Ironforge). Otherwise all zones and cities are pretty much seperated by level. Crossroads may be the only exception, you'll usually find a mix of 10-40 level players there just because it's a transportation hub.

STV has a mix of character levels because the level 40s are there to level and the level 55+ chars are there for the Dueling arena.

Do you guys post on your realm forum? That seems to be the only thing our high levels on our Horde do these days, because they can't be arsed to defend a town... then again, no one in their right mind can be arsed to defend Crossroads because it's hit every god damn day.

What would be the primary differences between the Hunter, Warrior, and Paladin?

I'm gonna do some more research on the subject, but what would you guys suggest for a player who wants to...

                      1. Use a polearm
                      2. Gets healing spells + attacking spells (so I can solo)

I think its sounding like a Paladin right?

Hunter is a high damage per second class, you get a pet and can wear mail armor but not plate. Mainly ranged attacks
Warrior is a tank/meat shield, some damage but not the best. All armor options.
Paladins are faggy. They get all armors, low damage, but function with seals and auras. Some healing spells as well.

Only Hunters and Warriors can use Polearms.

Paladins are boring as shit; I highly discourage you from playing one. Warriors are also a weaker class when it comes to outright PvP...Blizzard is planning some serious updates for them. And uhh...I've heard mixed feelings about hunters. RyanG's rolling one right now, and he loves them, but I've also heard they're relatively boring.

And regarding other races...rogues are over-played, and since there are so many, you'll have trouble finding a group high-end. However, I think they're the most entertaining character in the game. Mages are awesome high-end, but a bitch to level up through the 30s-40s (a total grind). Both Myth and Vihta are lvl 60 priests and they seem to love them, however I've heard it's a pretty standard healbot when it comes to instances. Druids are great for variety, but kind of nerfed when it comes to PvP. Shaman's are great for a hybrid character, and G said he could take on four enemies at once. I've never played one, so I don't know, though. I also haven't played a Warlock, and a lot of people haven't, so I don't know whether that's a good or bad thing.

                            Hope that helped some.

i disagree with you on a few points. i've been playing as a warrior on the alliance for a couple of months now. paladins are better for tanking than warriors because most warriors dont use shields, they go for a good 2 handed weapon instead. most paladins use shields though and can also heal themselves. they dont do much damage though so they just take abuse. also, i believe paladins can use polearms too but i'm not 100% on that.

If the warrior doesn't use a shield then that warrior is a dumbass, plain and simple. Especially if that warrior is in an instance group. You'd get your nuts hung out to dry if you tried that shit with most groups. Also, paladins are plain bullshit. My warrior can (and has) taken paladins down at equal level--it just takes a little bit of strategy and timing.

Basically, if you want to be a puss, play a paladin. If you want to inflict damage but be known as a puss, play a rogue.
Music and medicine, I'm living in a place where they overlap.
