ps i listen to other shit like radiohead, jack johnson, flaming lips, and used to be a punk obsessor..but for the purpose of this thread is: find good tracks to smoke to (and get into the production/lyrics), that is all.

The Kills--No Wow is a decent album with some definite psychedelic properties. It's like...experimental alt rock. Kind of White Stripes meets Bongwater.

Speaking of which, you might want to check out Bongwater--The Power of Pussy for some seriously underground weed music. Odd samples, sometimes sped up, then slowed down, wierd lyrics, very ecclectic shit. Goes from indie rock, to folksy, to bluesy, to erotic indie rock to folksy...laced with trippy samples. You get the idea.

More traditional, if you know about MF Doom, i'm sure you prolly bought De La's new one. The Grind Date is some bomb assed shit, if you are a fan of Spitkicker Fam and old school Native Tongue stuff. It's kinda darker than their last two, kind of on the level that Stakes Is High was. Deep album, relative to the market.

Edit: Speaking of De La, if you don't have De La Soul Is Dead (their 2nd album), you really should check it out, if you are looking for something to smoke to.

Dr. octagon is cool, but I like Dr. Dooom a lot more.
Dilated Peoples are cool, not the greatest lyrics, but one of the best djs in the business and it just sounds good.
