Despite my diferences in opinion about the pope and despite the fact that i didn't agreed in some of his positions about condoms and abortion i can agree that he changed for better the face of the christain catholic church although that doesn't erase many of the misconceptions that church in general has made in the past and recent days. May he rest in peace...

Average length of tenure: about 12 years or so.
John Paul I had the shortest tenure, dying a month after being named Pope, so all of our parents have likely seen at least 3 popes so far. Heck, the next one will be my dad's 6th. If I was born just a year earlier, the next one will be my fourth.Comment
