LEGOs are so rad. It's pretty coincidental, but we just built these LEGO robots in my physics class for this contest up at the Colorado School of Mines. So for two weeks we pretty much built these LEGO vehicles to eventually to participate in three events. In the first your vehicle has to make its way in sand through an obstacle course without you aiding the robot at all besides the initial press of the start button. In the next one you have to go around in a 4ft by 4ft sandbox and detect "mines" (magnets) with your car and make a beeping sound when you find one. The last one is basically the same as the second, except for instead of just finding the mines, you have to actually have to pick it up and store it in a container on your vehicle. It was pretty badass because you get to program the cars yourselves and utilize touch sensors, light sensors, and magnet sensors. So in closing, LEGOS are the bomb.
