i love how everyone bashes microsoft because it is so evil. yeah i am sure you all run insanely rich corporations, which employee highly skilled managers for all divisions. face it, microsoft has the capital to field a competitive system. so what if xbox had a bunch of ports that can be played on other systems? it probably looked/played better on xbox anyway.
who gives a shit what kind of computer/box it is, if u can plug it up and boot it in a reasonable time for your favorite games. xbox live was a critical step in console jibbajabba, is live not much more stable than a ps2 online experience? heh
for you PC kids, that's like those faggots comparing WRX's to RSX's. one's in a different frickin class. of COURSE a PC is better in the long run if you upgrade it. most of the country just lets their PC run into the ground for 10 years before upgrading. Consoles were for just gaming, soon they will be for gaming, music, video and eventually cabletv/satellite or whatever BS.
for starters, who the hell believes specs anyway? Sony isnt trying to BS anyone but microsoft is because the media and various world governments rape it for whatever? is sony not a company that strangles many other companies out of business? what battle are you guys fighting? christ. half of you are saying stuff like "well this system only has blah blah for games". well you know..lots of people like those games, the industry doesnt have to be dominated by one system. most hardcore players will have both for sure, or all 3 nextgen systems.
all of the xbox360 shots taken (ok not all) weren't even textured to the fullest, those games aren't even finished..more will definately be in line because the system comes out first. you think developers are totally loyal? how did final fantasy end up being a PS mainstream? your favorite system is most likely going to lose some of your favorite gaming series eventually, its economics chumps. Perfect Dark for xbox? RARE was a staple of nintendo for a while..oh well
i really doubt anyone on these forums knows too much about anything, but if you are serious about gaming you are a dipshit for being loyal to a system, because gaming is supposed to be fun. if you have $, get both systems, if not get the system that appeals to you and stop yapping. seriously, "my console preference is like 3x better than yours", har har.
