Oh i would also want to get a digital camera i'm searching one that is small... no need to have super high quality photos... it's just to take some pictures once in a while. Anyone know a good one that might be affordable?

If you're looking for something professional, you better have a hella lot of cash to spare.

I got a powershot s200 last year for under $300. It's only 2.0 mpx, but it is fine if you have moderate expectations for photo quality. If you are able to control your lighting environment, it's a fine camera for just point-and-shoot activities.

I would get an extra battery, though. You can't really go out for a day of sightseeing without your battery dying. However, the camera came with a re-charger. Many cameras don't.

It's good enough for basic professional photography but real professionals also have a better version (also you need 1000 euros more to buy it) to go with it.

Here's a somewhat thorough review on it:

I have a Canon G5, its a pretty decent camera and for the price ( its now about 18 months old) it is more then worth it Battery life is really decent and the camera hasd some nice bells and whistles.

the casio QV-R51 5 megapixel cam is great for domestic use. Its small, costs about 280bucks (last yr when i bought it - should be cheaper now) has a 2in lcd, and takes MM or SD cards.

Only downside is that there is no audio capture so you can only get jpg movies with no sound.

Olympus Camedia E-10 is pretty good. It can be a little slow, though.

Aye, I've never had a problem with a Canon camera. I've also got a Toshiba digital camera, but it has a Canon lens.
