  • Mozilla Web Developer Extension...Cool Tool

I dunno if any of you guys have tried out this extension for Firefox, but if you work with any css in your sites, you may find it handy.

The thing I like about it is you can actually edit your .css code on a little sidebar, and it will update the page in real time. You don't have to F5 in a new window, or fiddle with toggling from file to file. Just switch the code on the fly, and the changes are made. Then just save your file and upload it to your site. Quick and easy.

I think you can edit regular html stuff too, but I haven't had enough time to play with it.

This is a great plugin, been using it semi-professionally for months. Outlining by element type, displaying id and class, and the css editor are great.

The css editor is good for testing styles, but untill it gets better, it won't replace a good text editor. It doesn't handle new white space or tab characters and sometimes it magiclly reverts to an old copy if you're adding many lines. Even with flaws it still has a better cost/benefit ratio than dreamweaver.
