I was looking for an older BMW 3 series. But it shouldn't be too expensive as I'm still studying and don't earn that much money. I only work once a weekend or so.
Those I find are all old ugly ones, but urs is VERY nice. Can I buy it from you ?

Hmm I've never heard of Smart...

Smart is owned by Mercedes. It's some new European kind of car. They're not very pretty imo ... they look weird and don't sell that well atm. Causing a decrease of the prices $

:annoyed: i guess the first part is true. I think it is owned by Mercedes they made the engine and stuff AMG is the engine constructor. They are not made for Barbie and Ken :annoyed: i hate when someone says that, it's a small car nothing more, and it is faster than many cars bigger than it, and probably safer. At this moment you have the normal Smart wich i don't like to much, you have the Smart roadster that i <3 and you have a bigger version of Smart wich i don't like to much to.

The Smart is definately not safer than bigger cars. Yes, it's a "mercedes" car - who usually are in THE top 3 when it comes to safety precautions. However, since the Smart is no more then 2 meter tall and ~1.80 wide -- it's a deathtrap when travelling even a little bit faster.

Well if you look at the progression of the Porshce from the 356 early models to the last two yrs of the 356 in 1964 & 65, they then made the 912 of whcich looks like it is the in between of the 356 and 911. Early 911's will resemble the 356 in many ways too.

Porsche did not have there own manufacturing facility either back in the day so they farmed there cars out to two manufacturing assembly plants.

Reutter and Karmann...Karmann went on to produce the Karmann Ghia...so if you check out the history of these cars they where all related in some manner or way. karmann Ghia's are known as a poor mans Porsche 356

Interchangable cars...most people I had known that owned a VW bus would take out the VW engine and replace it with a Porsche Engine.

Yet if I owned a Porsche 356 Speedster, I would care less what they look like as they go on the market at a low basement price of about $125,000.00 - $190,000.00.

The smart hasn't really blown trough in the US because:
a) gas is cheap, why buy a car that uses little fuel when you can buy it at those prices

b) parking space is pretty much infinite (or that's the picture I have). My friend who was in Florida said that the only entrance to their hotel was trough the garage, and the receptionist freaked out when they said "we're going for a walk" instead of taking the car.

The normal Smart is awful. It's like a shoebox .. not much bigger than that. And only 2 seats. Only good thing is that you don't need any parking space to park your car.
Roadster is ok, but still ... too small, too gay.
And the ForFour (the bigger version) really is a copy of the Barbie and Ken car ... awful !
