No mention of Peter Frampton and his solo on "Do you feel like we do"!

Top selling live rock recording still to this date "Frampton Comes Alive"

However, He lost it for me when he teamed up with the Bee Gee's on Sgt. Peppers :P

But pre Bee Gee's Framptons Camel and Humble Pie did show off Framptons guitar skills.

yup geno, Pete isn't the best guitarist out there but there's plenty more to guitars than the pure technical skill.

If you DO think highly of technical skill, Michael Angelo Batio is your man

I totally forgot about one, until it somehow popped when I was browsingmy tabs:
Freebird by Lynyrd Skynyrd, I can't remember the name of the guitarist, but the solo's one of the nicest ones out there!

edit: google gave me Gary Rossington, sounds familiar. Some wicked facts too:

Guitarist Gary Rossington used a 1961 Gibson Les Paul/SG Standard with side-pull vibrato for his slide guitar part on "Freebird". Rossington played through a Peavey Mace amp head, and a Peavey 4x12 cabinet (with the back removed to produce a more open sound) with JBL speakers.

Around 1970, when Lynyrd Skynyrd wrote the song, Rossington had just started playing slide. Rossington used a glass Coricidin bottle on his middle finger for a slide, an idea he got from Duane Allman. But when Rossington played, the bottle kept clinking against the frets because the string action was too low, so he took a screwdriver and stuck it under the strings up at the nut.

He then tuned the B string down to G. When Rossington played the slide part, he would often hit the third and second strings (both now tuned to a G) together, and play them as if they were one string, to create a doubled-guitar sound.

Gary Rossington & Allen Collins: Later go on to form the : Rossington Collins Band

Only thing I hated about this band was:

1: Lynrd Skynrd had ended due to there airplane crash and losing 1/2 the band. Good thing Nazareth was smart enough to blow off taking the same plane as Skynrd that day! Not that anyone on this forum will know Nazareth or possibly have seen them...god I am showing my age

2: Gary Rossington let his wife (Dale Krantz-Rossington) sing and share the limelight in the Rossington Collins Band. To me IMHO...she was annoying as hell! Hated her!
