X&Y, how do you like it?

What do you think of it? For those of you not in the know, it's the new coldplay cd. I think it has the same coldplay sound, yet it's very fresh sounding. I really like it, and I hope I get as many favorites out of this cd as I did the last.

So if you've bought it (as I did), ripped it from a friend or dled it, what do you think of it?

i need to give it more of a chance though, listen to it a few more times at least

i heard the song "talk" literally a few months ago, and i like it. otherwise, as i have said before, it takes a while for me to know whether i like an album or not. if it sounds like old coldplay though, like i am hearing, i will probably like it.

Well in my opinion it's great that they try smoething else. The piano-driven melodies were starting to feel a little too used already. Not only because they've done it for a few years, but for all the other bands trying to copy coldplay.

So now they base the music no guitars instead. Funky. And it seems to work for me. Slow song/fast song/slow song etc.

I think it'll stay up there at the very top of the chillin' albums I have, but because of the strange (read: BAD) lyrics and the repetitiveness, I can't really listen to it when I want to totally focus on listening to music.

General impression, I'd give it 4 stars. Maybe 3 because time will tear this record apart.
