That's a pretty relative view - ATDI affects me more than jack johnson, or dispatch, or whatever, and I'll be damned if they've ever released an acoustic track :P

I love "Disarm" and other songs, that are accoustic, and other songs I love in Electric.

Then there's some, like "San Dimas High School Football Rules" which sound better accoustic, but sound good as Electric.

I love the Ataris' cover of Bad Religion's Heaven Is Falling on the first Rock Against Bush comp, I haven't heard your song but I can't imagine they're that dissimilar

I have both and I can't really which one I prefer. Sometimes I'm on the mood to play acoustic, sometimes electric. I only have a small amplifier and I've never tried to play in a band though. I wish I could some day but my friends don't play anything at all.

When playing (solo) live, I only play acoustic. I don't know why, so don't ask. When practicing/jamming, I use my electric.

There's no question that with your electric, you can play more styles, while with the acoustic it's just that, an acoustic sound. It's not possible to say which one is better, because a good guitarrist will play both. I give more credit to players like Clapton that produce great sounds in both instruments then those great electric only players, with great technique but after a while, their sound just gets dull. I mean i like Vai and on, but sometimes a less shredding, quieter sound feels really good, and thats when the acoustic may come in handy.

I say this but I play mostly electric, because i find finger picking to be extremly difficult, somehow, it just doesn't work.
