I have a few stories about meeting ppl online.

First off my story, A few years back I went to Square one to go meet an SS player named Turd.
We had dinner and havent hung out since. It was a little weird but he is a nice enough guy. He hasen't played in a really long time nor have I talked to him.

Second stroy still good.
My wife good friend meet a guy in Florida She lives in Ontario, they have be a couple for about 6 or 7 years now and plan to get married some time soon after he is done his degree. They both fly back and forth every month or 2 for a few weeks to hang out togeather. All is well.

And then there's this other "friend" of my wifes who meet a few guys on the net, from the local area. The first guy gave her a ring but they never ended up getting married and he is no longer in the picture.
Her now husband who she also met online Is supporting her and her lazy habbits and they are not a happy couple. That may be due to her past but thats another story.

And finally there is the story about my sister-in-law. She met a guy from a town about 5 hours from here. he had come to see her twice. They had exchanged pictures, although it didn't seem to do any good cuz when he was waiting at the bus station she and her friend had walked by him about 5 times. Any ways he has been here twice to visit and he had decided he wasen't into her any more and decided he likes some other girl........ now to the moral of my stories....... Don't play in traffic unless your driving a tank you might get hurt.

i've met a handful of people through the internet and they are all confirmed radical dudes

The feeling is mutual. People I've met from the spaceships game (in order of appearance): bloodzombie, Pearl Jam, triceratops, THE PUSHER, CRIMSON KING, Creager. All of the meetings have been fun as hell.

As a matter of fact, I accidentally called Creager the other day. It so happens that "Creager, Richard" is right next to my girlfriend's phone number in my phone. (Yes, he's officially in my phone as his spaceship name. Hilarity ensues.) Imagine my surprise--I thought it was her brother answering her phone, and then got extremely flustered when I couldn't recognize the voice. Big up, Miggs.

Kind of funny like 5 of us from basingcrew are all meeting up at the end of july at an amusement park. Should be funny to meet the man behind the mask AKA Hercules. :grin:

Well, I met most of my friends on the internet before I met them irl. Mostly on irc. Just yesterday I met a bunch of people from one irc-channel. They were all nice.

On a side note I clicked this thread and thought this seems familiar. I must have read this while I was drunk and I couldn't remember the details so I had to read it again.

I played super smash bros with a couple of squadmates from DSB. We met up with a third and his wife for dinner. They all know each other, but I think the guy's wife was a little confused about why I was there.
