  • Movies Based Thousands of Years Ago: Ancient Movies

Well, lets start off with my top 10 favorite ancient based movies.

    1. Troy
    2. Alexander
    3. Lord of the Rings 3
    4. Lord of the Rings 1
    5. Lord of the Rings 2
    6. King Arthur

Now, as you can see i don't have a large list at all. But i am absolutely obsessed with Troy, and the others. I love the acting, the strategy, the fighting, and i was wondering if any of you suggest any movies similar to these. They can't be boring, and must have action, with a little bit of love as well(can't have a war movie without love). Also, archers please.

Hero. There's not as much in the way of warring armies, but there's definately action, there's definately love, but most of all, there are definately lots of archers.

If lord of the rings makes your list, how about something a long, long time ago in a galaxy far, far away?

The Return of the Jedi (with Ewok archers!)

Yeah... there's this one little movie, not sure if any of you have heard about it...

              Braveheart.

"There are those who said this day would never come. What have they to say now?"
              .Halo.

Y'know... if you were any stupider, I swear death by laughter would be a real medical occurance.

Hate to burst your bubble, saw it. The movie sucked and i was bored out of my mind waiting for that one part where he blocks all of the arrows, then i turned it off.

is troy really worth a look? i heard it was just a shitload of epic battle scenes spliced together with a storyline smothered in weak sauce.

i have this documentary series (6 parts) about the knights templar. it's absolutely fascinating! :>

Basically, but if you've got the slightest interest in the topic then you'll enjoy the film. Its an enjoyable waste of time
