How is that "ridiculous"?

Seeing as that MTV started off with indie out of college fuck nuts, as you put it... They just grew up and became money hungry fuck nuts...

So, fire them, hire all new people, and start the process over...

Atleast the college kids will have a more "for the people and not for the media" realistic type view... I'm sure once they see all the money hurled at them by other producers and advertisers, they'll become just as corrupted as the original MTV producers...

but they'd lose money. The "money hungry fuck nuts" are the ones who get to make the decisions, and they aren't going to cancel successful (i.e. money-making) programming to preserve some "original vision" for the channel.

The only way you'd see that is if they think there is still a market for it and start like an MTV3. I mean that's basically what MTV2 was supposed to do, I think, but they didn't quite do it right.
