I heard somewhere someone tried to organise a mock fight between Star Trekkers and American Civil War re-enacters, to see who would win.
They had a meeting, and the Trekkers said something to the effect of "we're not allowed to interfere in inferior cultures" and they got in a fight. It turns out the civil war re-enacters won, because they have real guns.
