According to the Commission, all fixed and mobile telephony traffic and location data from all private and legal persons should be stored for 1 year. Data about communications 'using solely the internet protocol' should be stored for 6 months.

The European ministers of Justice and the European Commission want to keep all telephone and internet traffic data of all 450 million Europeans. If you are concerned about this plan, please sign the petition.

What's wrong with data retention? The proposal to retain traffic data will reveal who has been calling and e-mailing whom, what websites people have visited and even where they were with their mobile phones. Telephone companies and internet services providers would be ordered to store all traffic data of their customers. Police and intelligence agencies in Europe would be granted access the traffic data. Various, competing proposals in Brussels mention retention periods from 6 months up to four years.

This is just, wow, I mean, wow. Does it actually feel go for you to know that everything you do _will_ be stored, and save for, wow, what?! up to 3 years? Every single website you have been one, every phonecall.. It feels like, I don't know how to describe it, like, you are getting choked and you need air..

Anyway there is this petition you can sign, if you are agains this silly idea.

Hehe, soon, who knows, they implant this chip in you, that store all you information, and gives out the location where you are.. wooh.

Well the truth is, no one would have a problem with it if everyone was following the law and doing everything right. But of course I'd had a problem with this.

I hope their systems choke on the SHITLOAD of data they'll get for watching every single thing that takes place on the internet.

I'd seriously hate for that to happen though, even though I'd be doing perfectly legal things, I don't want to have some stupid interpol guys laughing over my love life.

                    The terrorists won the war!!
Oh dammit so now we have to give up on our freedom because of those bastards . I'm of two minds when it comes to this issue, the first one tells me that i dont want to have my privacy taken away and have some nerds on some obscure lab in the south pole reading my mails and stuff -_- , but the second one tells me that we need to grab those terrorists in order to avoid more deaths like the ones that happened in Madrid and in London. I guess that should they be able to restrict who has access to what it should be ALMOST ok :noexpress .

PS: On a side note i think they need proper authorization to procede with the investigation of your mail account and stuff... i don't think they will bother with someone illegal dloads and stuff like that.

lol..... good luck with that. I am sure that goes against some sort of privacy laws..... and if not good luck even with computers searching through the data its going to take entirely to long....... meh w/e

Well if it will happend, I'm sure they have some system make this possible. Also considering a search based system, just typing like "X-men" and you'd find bunch of stuff containing "x-men", or something like that. Then come to your door take your computer, give you a nice fee for breaking the copyright law for having a x-men movie on your computer.

Or why not come bust your door when you jokingly mail the subject "terrorist operation" to your friend's e-mail.. ._.
