LSD is lysergic acid diethylamide. it was first synthed by albert hoffmann in 1938. its what we call an ergot because its derived from lysergic acid from ergot, a fungus that grows on rye. many beneficial medications are ergots including parkinsons drugs. in '43 i believe hoffmann said he had the intuition to try LSD-25 again. he prepared a quater of a milligram, which little did he know would be 5 times the average effective dose. that was the first trip and the rest is history

LSD mimics the action of the neurotransmitters dopamine and serotonin in the brain, but with high affinity at specific receptor sites responsible for the psychedelic experience. it is a very potent drug, the threshold being at around 20 micrograms, thats less than 1/40th of a milligram. through the 50s and 60s LSD became somewhat popular among certain cultures and circles in the US and europe, from hippies to university professors, to famous intellectuals such as Aldous huxley. it was permanently made illegal with the fascist police state-like controlled substance act of 1970 because the government is against anything that promotes a different mind state, or breaking free from the matrix like conforming norm consciousness and this threatens them.

Wow, I don't think I've ever experienced that in my life with any drugs (after their intended time they're supposed to last), though I get some ridiculously scary flashbacks from time to time, and I haven't touched a single illegal substance for years and years (that's the way to go kids, play it straight... drink yourself to a fun time instead!). Back to the op's question... yes it was more enjoyable, but that is determined by what you enjoy. I guess I enjoyed the disconnectedness of it, the total loss of control on a hard trip, but the feeling of total intamacy with yourself and a FEW of your surroundings. But seriously... what a waste of time it all was, and it really fucked up my life and took the lives of a few friends (I'm serious, these kids were hardcore). Pan's heard my lecture on drugs and I think Fit has too, they know where the hell I'm coming from.

I do have "flashbacks" - not from LSD though, but I think it's because the last time I got high, I ate the bud, alot of it, and I have reason to believe it was laced with meth - the dude I got high with (it was his first time in awhile) got drug tested and they found meth in his body, and I can swear he had never done meth. They aren't "flashbacks" I think - I've never had one due to LSD - but sometimes I think my phone is vibrating when it isn't, on my legs especially. It used to be alot worse - twitching, sudden disorientation, etc, but it's been awhile since I've done anything besides methadone so I think it's going away

This happens to me too, and I've never done anything of that sort. I don't think it's drugs--there's got to be some explanation, but I'm short on what it might be.

1 hit of decent acid is enough to give you a big trip. 2 and a half your first time? wtf were you thinking, really...

I have done shrooms once, and it was in chocolate form, ammounting to a little less than an 1/8th. And the trip was great, minimul visuals.

Tripping is the most amazing experience ever, honest. But i really dont plan to do Acid any time soon.

(BTW, tripping is a result of your brain bleeding onto your spinal chord, but dont thikn of that while tripping or you may have a bad trip)

that happens to me and i almost never carry a cell phone. theres no way it has to do with drugs, at least as far as i can imagine. thats weird, i thought it was just a unique muscle twitch.
