haha, well I decided to make a song about continuum. I dont have any lyrics for it yet, and the song is just really a "test" mix. Im probably going to lengthen/add to it and re-record it (the mic on my computer kept clipping a little bit). ah yes, so I just recorded a little rhythm, looped it, and recorded/played an improv guitar solo thing over it, and then mixed it all together. the solo isnt that awesome, I just recently started trying to improv. but it isnt horrible, just the beginning of it.

its nice, but when you have the Solo going, and the orignal is going its kinda hard to hear the solo, you should play the Original PMuted while the solo is going, its koolies tho

Overburn, you definitely need better recording.. With some more "professional" recording gear you could get that sounding pretty decent.

Try investing a little money on a computer recording system, right now I'm using a firepod with cubase software, and a few decent mics. Cost me around a grand for the whole deal. If you get a system that isn't quite as advanced as firepod, it might cost you around 300.

I think part of the problem was that I had my volume up too much on my amp. I just took a 1/4 to 1/8 stereo adapter and plugged it into the mic jack on my sound card directly from the heaphone jack on my amp . Also the amp model I had on my effects pedal didnt sound too great either. I dont really play in a band so I dont know about buying any recording equipment just yet. I would like to buy a better amp that the one I have currently, which is a little 10w Ibanez bass amp (yes, with my guitar).
That instrumental some has a kickass intro.
