I have no problem believing that iPods have 75% market share because of marketing. Look at most people when they buy a mp3 player. Good percentage just buy an iPod without bothering about the competition, especially now that there is alot of misinformation about iPods being much easier to use than other mp3 players.

I find my iAudio U2 to be brain-dead easy to put music on. I suppose products are made for the lowest denominator though.

Most iRivers have ogg-playpack which rocks. Also I hear iRivers have the best sound quality. I'd get a ipod nano if I wouldn't have to use iTunes with it.

There needs to be more information here. Did you mount the disc image and then do as it told you? Or did you just double click the disc image and then expect that to install it.

As soon as I click to download the media player, it brings me to the "Disk Utility page"
Yet, it's not asking if I'd like to install windows media player, it's asking if I'd like to verfiry permissions, or repair part of the drive, and other bullshit like that.

Never heard of that. You need to find someone else with the disk image that'll transfer it to you. My AIM contact info is on here. If nothing else, I suppose I will.
