Am I the only one who thinks the expansion sounds at least a little cool? Sure, you can argue that it should be a free flash update, but there's been a lot of those already, and this is dealing with an entirely new continent. I'd say that's at least justified.

I've been bored with the content in WoW for a few months now, so much I've even logged into subspace. But i'm looking forward to the expansion, I won't be rolling any new characters tho.

It is good that I somehow have managed to overcome my desire to play this game, thanks to God. It would be a pure hell to me, to play this game again.. So much more cool things coming to the game, imo. I would surely be a no-lifer if I'd be still playing. Good thing is that I don't play, and I never will.

Personal opps, nice that they put in blood elves, I was kinda missing them, thought they very quite cool in frozen throne. But as I played wow, they were just npcs.. which sucks. Though even if the implant this, it would suck since you'd need to make a new char to play a blood elf, start from level 1 to whooping 70. I took me around 20-24 days to get to lvl 60.

I still miss the nice persons I meet in WoW. :'(

WoW just isn't ready. A lot of people haven't finished with MC/BWL yet, and if they raise the level cap, no one will ever see the full challenge for it (20 man MC anyone?)

What I was hoping for was that they would make it like Diablo 2, where you could start over with all your gear at level 1 except everything would be REALLY hard to kill. And you'd get hero talents and skills and shit.

I do think it is slightly unbalanced. Warriors outdpsing rogues endgame, Hunters (namely me) outdpsing mages who wear cloth, etc.

Warriors outDPSing rogues is the way it should be. Rogues are meant for stealth, sapping, some fairly big damage, and that's about it. I would've hated to see what you thought of the beta, where MS had no cooldown. Warriors are just finally getting some of the damage back that they deserve (THEY'RE FRICKIN WARRIORS). Rogues complaining about DPS should do what they do best: go fly to Un'Goro and gank some lowbies and stop crying about not being able to do big DPS. My shadow priest is crying.

Hunters had also been severely underpowered and generally useless up until a few patches ago.

While mixing their own music in the studio, inexperienced musicians almost always fall into the trap of "I need to be louder", and keep upping their own fader(s). The problem is that no one thinks that they should be the lowest fader on the board, so eventually everyone's gain is maxed out and you need to pull everyone back down to zero and start over again. This is why most musicians need engineers and producers to do the majority of mixing. This is comparable in a lot of ways to WoW: everyone thinks that their class is the big man on campus. What people need to do is realize that maybe there's a role for your class that isn't just "huge DPS."

When I'm raiding, I outdps all classes except other hunters, but we lost burst dps for more consistent long term dps. Mages can beat me in a duel real quick with good crit and burst dps, but if I drag the fight out past the first 15-20 seconds I'll always win. Like Conc said you can't expect to be huge dps only, the utility of the classes balances them out and comparing just the dps of a melee class doesn't work.

Well I've been playing WoW for 7-8 months now. Have a 60 warlock and 60 warrior (on alliance side) and 60 shaman (obviously on horde side). I cant say I'm disappointed or surprised by whats in the expansion. I expected the level cap to go to 70, I expected flying mounts in a limited use sense, and I expected either Naga or Blood Elves to be added. I do agree with what someone said about most players not having fully completed the current content so why bring out so much more. On my server (Uldum) only one guild has successfully completed BWL (and only once) and only 3-4 guilds have successfully completed MC. I was recently accepted into the recruiting process of the most successful/hardcore guild on the server, but I had to withdraw my application because it's my final term of university and being on that guild meant 30-40 hours of raiding a week.

Come January I'll either try to get into one of the top guilds or I'll sell off my account and hope I'm not banned heh. I don't think the expansion will influence my decision on whether to quit or not... MMORPG's will always be releasing new content whether it's from expansions or regular patches. WoW is the best game I've seen when it comes to ensuring their players never complete all quests, never get all the equipment they want, especially not on multiple characters. The idea of coming back in January to be a hardcore player is appealing, but I'm starting to believe that a healthy social life might be more appealing :grin:

If a warr is out dps'ing a rogue then that rogue needs shooting.

A few mobs in BWL u need the really high end dps generated by rogues and now since the hunter love patch hunters.

It is funny how now mages are relegated to 3rd on the dps class..

The expansion looks good, it will be a change from farming MC/BWL/Ony/Zul all week.
