Why do you people play MMORPGs like WoW?

Why do you buy a game and then after you already bought it, pay more money just to play it. Isn't that defeated the purpose of paying for it the first time? And dont tell me the first payment was to "pay the company for their time in making the software" ... no bullshit, your paying for that time while playing it monthly... so wtf are you paying all this money for.

Also, what do you see in playing a game where the whole point is to build up your character guy, to raise his level... what happens when you hit the maximum level...do you quit playing? Once you hit the top, do you then realize that you just paid $500 on top of the $50 you originally paid for the game? And once you hit the top a new game is out so all the people that thought you were elite for making the top level in the first game moved on to the second game spending more of their money, and then that forces you to spend your money for the software of that game, and then another $500 to raise the new characters level...in the end wtf are you spending your time on?

Its not like these games are games of skill...its just who wastes the most time of their lives killing stupid monsters or spends the most money in E-Bay buying stupid shit for a game... i dont get this shit... can someone honestly explain why you pay for this?

WoW isnt all about how many hours you put into it. Even in the mid lvls, you have to be able to play your character to do decent in PVP. Its not all mindless mob camping like most either.

Btw, Continuum has many servers, and i dont see anyone paying to play on it besides donations...oh and they arnt owned by huge game companys that already got paid $50 a cd for a game they only had to create one time. Oh and maintain a server? Guess what, it doesnt cost that much to maintain a server. At all. Oh and guess what, Trenchwars has a server that is maintained and no one is paying to play on it.

One more thing. Xbox Live anyone? You pay $20 for a full year to play any and every xbox live capable game. $20 a year is a lot different than $13 a month or w/e u guys said it is to play. And trust me, xbox servers are a lot more costly to maintain than a blizzard server...and if i didnt forget...blizzard always had servers for games like starcraft warcraft etc etc and they were maintained by people paying the ORIGINAL $50. Oh well, if dumbasses like you didnt p2p after you already payed, games like these wouldnt be p2p, just one flat rate.
