Anyone who things DS9 is not the best is a fool, for many of the reasons already stated. Another thing is has over the other series are the most badass female main characters in the Trek universe: Kira and Dax.

Absolutely, but their wealth isnt' why I didn't think it was plausible for them to be such a successful species.

Anyone who's ever played poker knows how easy it is to bust a player who is predictably greedy and one-dimensional. Added to that, the Ferengi were generally portrayed as being sneaky, but easily tricked.

I probably wasn't clear, but I thought the Ferengi shouldn't have been portrayed as successful unless they were less one-dimensional, less stupid and less predictable. It wasn't just because they had money.

It‘s a common fact that Star Trek is well liked among the "geeks", but to like it you don’t necessarily have to be a geek. I would say you sure have some bad taste, though. So what if you are a geek? I don’t see anything wrong with being an old successful geek. So, just go ahead, buy it, and stop worrying about what other people might think!

I agree with R1pp3r to a degree, and if you do buy it, try and get a good deal on it as I am sure it may be a $$$$ item.

One way to get this a bit cheaper is to go on Amazon.CA (Canada) and buy it from them. Sometimes you will get free shipping at a better discounted price with the currency exchange. I purchased the entire Lexx series that way and save about $90 in the end.

Or just wait until a convention is close to your town. They go as Buffy The Vampire Slayer/Star Trek shows now. My brother in law does the sound and lighting for these events. Very interesting to check out if you have never done so and I am in no means a Trek or Buffy show follower in the sense of these conventions.

I would add, to anyone who feels obligated to comment on other people's priority (like 'get a life'), that I am an older person who has worked hard in his life to make the free time and money that I have. So bottom line is that I HAD a life and NOW am able to enjoy what I have left.
So to anyone who wants to say 'get a life', stfu, get off the PC, and go make your own life before being so fucking presumptous like you know how to prioritize everyone's else's life.

My friend who works at ATI can buy up to 6 graphics cards per year at half price. Im waiting until prices drop a bit before I get him to buy me something decent. Guy just bought a Nissan Z350 as well... stupid graphics people <_<
