Eddie Guerrero was an excellent performer, and I'm disappointed to be the first serious response to this topic. He was one of my favourite wrestlers. He was very agile and athletic in the ring, but charismatic and intense on the mic. He was one of those few who could fit into any style, high flying or mat wrestling, humourous stories or serious. He was an artist and was able to do what only the best wrestlers can do: tell a story through a match.

Just this past week, he showed off his "Lie, Cheat and Steal" persona. Near the end of the match when the referee got "bumped" and fell hurt to the mat, he went outside the ring and grabbed a chair. He was about to use it on his opponent but noticed that the referee was getting up. He gave his trademark grin straight into the camera and then, to avoid getting disqualified for using the chair, he slammed it hard onto the mat and threw it into the hands of his opponent. The other guy caught it with a confused look while Eddie dropped like he got shot. The ref, having heard the chair hitting the mat, looked up and saw Eddie down on the ground and the other guy holding the chair, and disqualified the opponent on the spot.

I know a lot of people here don't really "get" wrestling, but the true fans of the sport who recognize quality when they see it, they'll know that Eddie was one of the best performers of the last decade.
