I would put it to you as such.
If you were the person who said "Fuck Playstation 2, I'm buying the X-Box", then the X-Box 360 is for you. Especally if you're a current X-Box Live user.
Now, if you were the person who got the Playstation 2 and went "Fuck X-Box, I'm staying with my Playstation", then you should wait for the Playstation 3.
And lastly, if you bought a Gamecube, and you're the one who also owns the NES, SNES, N64, and the Virtual Boy, then wait for the Revolultion.DELETED

XBox has the ability to have better graphics than the PS3, on top of that it also has made programming the games and taking advantage of all the resources much easier than ever before. Also, XBox Premium is $400, there is talk of PS3 costing up to $600 when it is released. If you're worried about game selection, when the first XBox came out Microsoft thought they could dominate without marketing (they don't even know how to market, never had to). This time around they marketed like crazy and got a lot of developers to sign on early, including many Japanese developers who didn't during the original XBox's ara. In the end the XBox is the better system (again) but might lack in game selection like before.
Edit "XBox has the ability to have better graphics than the PS3" I didn't pull that out of my ass and it's not just my opinion. The hardware/firmware and the software used to access/use it is much more advanced the the PS3. I'm not sure what arikel is talking about. She might be referring to the processors they used or the DVD drive, but those are pointless, first off the 3 processors XBox uses is more powerful, plus the DVD drive PS3 uses might not work with some DVDs, mostly older ones. All that really did was force them to jack up the price on the system.Last edited by Kontrolz; 11-28-2005, 09:39 AM.(ZaBuZa)>sigh.. i been playing this game since i was 8... i am more mature then ull ever be...

I'm giving my 360 a proper going over getting ready for the official Ars review, and one thing we haven't talked about yet on the journals is the DVD player. Unlike the first Xbox, the 360 will play DVDs right out of the box, and the wireless controllers make a handy remote if you don't have the premium pack.
I've thrown a few discs at it, with mixed results. The good news is that it is a progressive scan DVD player, and so far it has played every burned DVD I've thrown at it. The bad news is the video quality just isn't that great. On Episode 3 it looked decent, but my Samsung progressive player blew it out of the water. On other discs I noticed so very apparent dithering and artifacts in the black areas of the screen.
While it's a nice bonus, don't expect this to replace a good DVD player in your home theater.

The good: All games in high-definition; excellent user-friendly Dashboard interface; built-in support for wireless controllers; excellent online gaming and communications via Xbox Live; backward compatible with many (but not all) original Xbox titles; doubles as superior digital media hub and Windows Media extender; $399 bundle includes key accessories.
The bad: First wave of games is somewhat anemic; noisy exhaust fan; no built-in wireless networking; only three USB ports; no support for next-gen HD movie discs; no DVI or HDMI output; doesn't upscale DVDs to HD resolution; gigantic oversize power supply; price will almost certainly drop.
The bottom line: While it's missing a couple of potentially important features at launch, the Xbox 360 delivers the power and performance of a high-end gaming PC, including impressive digital media and networking features.Originally posted by Jeenyusssometimes i thrust my hips so my flaccid dick slaps my stomach, then my taint, then my stomach, then my taint. i like the sound.

Sony and Nintendo revealed their new game consoles this past week. What can we expect from the Playstation 3 en de Revolutions? Atleast they are good at calculus
Sony opened the E3 in Los Angeles by revealing the Playstation 3, 4 days after Microsoft introduced the Xbox3 to the public. Expected was that Sony's new console would be available around the christmas Holidays but the fans have to wait till spring of 2006, while the new XboX will be lying under the christmas tree. Nintendo fans even have to wait with somewhere next year. What do the new consoles have to offer?
Playstation 3
Sony has been padding their own shoulder for a while because of their cell-processor, the beating heart of the new game console. The special, by IBM designed processor has 8 slaves wich can do math as fast as the headprocessor. This gives you the mathcapacaty of a healthy supercomputer from a few years ago. Along with the special graphic processor, this gives you so much power that the gaming experience will be realistic as possible. The ps3 games are on blu-ray dvd-disc's wich can contain 6 times as much data as the normal dvd en the system can be expended with a hard disk. Room enough for high quality videoimages and the playstation 3 can deliver that in HDTV-format (High definition televison). The console even has special HDMI-connections (high definition multimedia interface) for the latest tvscreens. A (wireless) networkpossibility is standerd in the gameconsole and it's possible to connect 7 controlers wireless to the ps3. Who posses a PSP, can connect this to the PS3 without a wire. What possibilities that offers isn't exactly clear, but Sony has undoubtely thought about that. There already has been a discussion about payed downloadservices for the ps2 and psp. The new console can play games from the previous 2 consoles, the playstation and playstation 2, and on top of that it's able to play cd's dvd's and sacd's (super audio cd's).
Revolution
Different then Sony, Nintendo didn't release too much information about the Revolution. The most remarkable news abuot the console: games for the old nintendo game consoles can be downloaded via a special webservice, and can be played on the Revolution. If this feature will cost you money isn't sure yet, but the answers seems obvious. Via the same services players will be able to get new gamelevels and characters for the revolution games, for money. The revolution also has special by IBM developed system. The codename is 'broadway' en there isn't much more known about it atm. That's about as much as we know about the graphic processor called 'hollywood'. What is known is that the Revolution can also play Gamecube games and after buying a little exstension you can also play dvd's on it. The gameinformation can be saved on a sd-cart. And with a wireless networkconnection you can also hook the Nintendo DS onto the revolution. Special games will be produced wich will use the WiFi-possibilities of the revolution.
The winner
Wich console will eventual win the heart and money of the gamer isn't really clear yet. It mostly depends on the quality of the games. All consoles can do math, but if it's gonna be fun, who knows. We can say IBM is the laughing 4th for now. Because all consoles got their beating heart from IBM.

That's pretty old tho, so more stuff is known now, but Xbox isn't that much better then Ps3
Kontrolz, if you look at this info, the ps3 isn't much worse then the 360, if not better. I don't know jack shit about what it all means, so I can't say it's worse/better.. but it seems the ps3 has more possibilities then the 360, the ps3 has 8 co-processors, xbox 3. Further, they are both 3.2ghz processor, one is cell, other is power (like said I don't know jackshit about it so I don't know if the one is 10 times better then the other one). And graphics is the same thing.Last edited by Galleleo; 11-28-2005, 07:01 PM.Maybe God was the first suicide bomber and the Big Bang was his moment of Glory.
