I got one and I think CoD2 is one of the best games I've ever seen/played.

Because I'm impatient, I just plugged it in and started playing and was happy with it, but after I spent some time reading the manual and realized that HD wasn't activated, I turned it on and was blown away.

Mine came with Kameo... that game is way more fun than I thought it would be...

I have a 360, which I got 3 days ago as a late Xmas present, and COD2 and Tony Hawk's American wasteland, and let me tell ya, I'm very pleased with the 360. COD2 on the HDTV with surround sound is one of the most intense and exhilirating video games I've ever played (and yes, this includes PC). I was stunned when the opening video loaded up. Also, this XBox is nice because I'm able to plug in my IPOD and skate around in Tony Hawk. And as far as the crapping out after two hours thing goes, I played it yesterday from 10:30 AM to 8:00 PM and it ran just fine. I don't understand people's complaints, it just seems like they want to hate it because it's successful. Truth be told, I would take it over the PS3 if both were currently out.

I have bought every nintendo system to date, but this is where I stop.

Because I have an XBOX and if I want to play Madden I will do it on there. And plus, does EA have Mario, Metroid, Zelda or any of the other characters that made video games what they are today? No.

Does Resident Evil 4 count as a game part of a dying franchise? Because it was at first exclusively for nintendo, but then went to other platforms soooo yeah...

I think someone mentioned it before too, that it costs nintendo significantly less to make a game so that their net profit is enough to keep them going.

Funding doesn't matter nearly as much for a platform as the game selection, price, and track record of the company. It doesn't matter how much money Bill Gates has, no amount of cash that he threw into commericals and advertising helped Xbox over in japan (original, not the 360).

Fact is, people love Zelda, they love Mario, and there are even some that love Metriod. Millions of people- Japanese, American, French, whatever. Those series alone with guarentee Nintendo some business, as long as they show up on the Revolution. Will they crush the 360, or the ps3, or vice versa? Can't say right now, it's way to early to make a claim like that, just like it's too early to make a claim about how the system is doomed just because you don't like the controller.

They can easily survive on their franchises alone, and critical reception over the Revolution and its controller has been very positive. People doomed Nintendo before because of it's so-called kiddy roster of games, but they forget that there's a substantial market for that.

I woudln't buy nintendo because I never liked zelda and lost interest in mario after super mario bros first game.

That doesn't make it a bad system, just makes it the wrong system for me.

When PS3 comes out, I might want it... I don't know. But for now I'm playing kickass games, and that's good enough for me.
