Lost - The TV show...+/- ?

1st season was captivating to some dgree, based upon what else was on TV...but is it me...or has this show dramatically slowed down. Not only the slowing down of this show...but personally I am sick of the flashbacks....

I just think that they are gonna end up beating a dead horse with this show and personally...it starting to get old.

3rd season...hmmm....probably flashbacks of the people known as the "Others" for an entire season...seems we need to know the history of every character.

Thank goodness for Tivo! I can at least fast forward through 90% of the re-cap and commercials.

If it goes beyond 3 seasons I will be amazed...will also be amazed if there is actually a final episode prior to it being cancelled. Somewhat similar to a horrible TV show that was on when I was a kid called "Danger Island" never had an ending, yet played in re-runs for years after. I think it was on the Bananna Splits TV show...god I am getting old!

I forgot where I heard it from, but supposedly they've signed for more 7+ seasons. I might be totally off tho. Personally, I've stopped watching it. Someone on digg.com put a link to a really good explaination for what's happening if you wanna check that out.

the writers of LOST are proof positive that absolutely ANYONE can make it in the tv business these days. i could write these episodes during my morning shit. they're spinning a web that's tangling up the minds of far too many viewers, with plots that branch off into sub-plots which then branch off into sub-plots of the original sub-plots. there comes a point where you owe it to your viewer to answer a few questions instead of raise new ones, and LOST passed that point at the beginning of season two.

the flashbacks are getting to be a joke. it's just a way for the writers to distract viewers from the fact that basically ABSOLUTELY JACK SHIT (no pun intended) has actually happened on the island in the here and now since the discovery of the rooms below the hatch. oh wait, a few more survivors came into the picture. what has been their purpose in the show thus far? oh, that's right. now we get to see even more flashbacks!

another thing that just absolutely blew my mind as far as being outright terrible was the dreaded roaring beast that was kept off camera for all of season one in an attempt to build up suspense and get everyone wondering what it really looked like. they finally show it to us, and it's a cloud of fucking smoke?! SMOKE?! WHAT THE FUCK?! HOW IS THAT SCARY?! TO TOP IT OFF, THE SPECIAL EFFECTS THEY USED TO DO THE SMOKE WERE DOWNRIGHT CHEESY!

if abc really wants to stick with the sci fi thing, which it seems they do, they should shit can lost and focus all the more on invasion. at least that show has responsible writers who give you a plot you can follow whilst still leaving you wondering what's going to happen next.

This show is absolutely amazing.

And no, the writers have already said that they know how they're going to end the series, and that they will not let it go on for more than 4, or 5 at the most, so we will see an end.

Also, this show is very dynamic, and the actors are brilliant. This isn't cheesy writing material Jason, and if you pay close enough attention, you would discover that many of the questions raised in Season One were actually solved. Such mysteries as: do the others exist? How did the Polar Bears get there? And Where did the plane come from?

The show is still brilliant, and they deserve their emmy.

But of course, since it's popular, hating it is also popular....But, as someone who has watched and been on board since Day 1, I still love this show and will stick with it till the end.

I too have been watching this since day one, yet I find that season 2 is lacking a bit. Perhaps it's the lead-in to the shows each week that take up too much time, not that they had that last week since it opened with Charlie and the whole show was Charlie of which was completely off track with the episode prior to that. The entire thing about Mike taking off just vanishes in that episode. Just an odd turn...especially since they finally met and talked with the Others.

I just do not think I can watch it when it is actually on...it has become a Tivo show for me now. But I will still watch it.

I'm not as interested as I was in Season 1, because the story seems to be lacking, or thinning out, I suppose. still a good watch - about the only thing I make sure I don't miss on TV (although I download, you know what I mean)

Season 1 of Lost is probably the most addicting TV-series I've seen on TV. Saw two episodes of season two too and then got bored.

But oh god how great those three days were when I looked through season one, ahh.

While I'm not finding as much excitement in the 2nd series, it's still entertaining and I'll stick with it throughout.

I have noticed that with series like this, season one was very real, very possible. But as it gets a bit more unlikely, far fetched, it gets less excitement. Lost stopped here right now, I donno about over there and stuff. But when it's back I'll surely watch it again.

Same thing with the Matrix really, the Matrix was very possible, it wasn't that far fetched and very likely. But Revolutions and Reloaded just took it like a step to far and made just too farfetched.. I liked them, but not by far as much as the first one.
