In case you give a fuck/don't already know the 'monster' in lost is a big black blob of smoke. I personally don't watch the show, but my friend has downloaded some of Season Two, I think it's in episode 10 where you get to see it.

Also the reason that there are polar bears on the island is that, the island used to be owned by a scientific experiment company, called 'Doma' or something like that and they did zoological and electro magnetic experiments there, hence why the plane crashed and the polar bear was there, also in the second series, a shark is in the water, and apparently on the side of it, there is the 'Doma' logo!

Actually you find out the Polar Bears are there because of Walt's "special" powers. I.e. he makes things happen that he reads/thinks about (as shown in one of his flashbacks). Just after the crash, he's reading one of Hurley's comics which has some polar bears in it. (This is what I assumed anyway). Yes, there is a Dharma logo on the shark, but it's not the same one (swan) as found in the hatch, nor the same one that was in the place the tail-end guys found either (An arrow I believe). Which suggests there's other stations on the island. And nothing says they do zoological experiments.

2. Polar Bears; yes, they're summoned by Walt. You also notice that the Polar Bears stopped appearing after the episode where Michael threw the comic book into the fire and burned it way. Also, if you look at the comic, on one of the pages, there is a panel in the book that has the inside of the hatch in it. The panel shows the room with the microprocessing computer (the button) and everything, exactly how you see it in 'the hatch'.

That then brings me to another point, the hatch itself. I know it was there, but could Walt have any part in its appearance on the island if the case with the comic is true? Dunno.

3. "zoological and electro magnetic experiments [sic]"; The Electro magnet is surrounded by a thick layer of concrete and drop-down blast shields... not sure why. A button is apparently associated with it. The hatches are each designed to do a different function on the island, 6 in all. One of them being Electromagnets and another Zoological experiements. Apparently there is a remote viewing area of the island (maybe why Walt appeared to Shannon and Sayid). And yes, on the orientation video they do mention Zoology as one of their functions, one of the 6.

4. The Plane crash is still undecided. If it was the electromagnet bringing down the plane, then I think it would be more powerful than just being able to lift up Jack's key around his neck from an inch away.

5a. The Dharma Shark; 9 out of 10 Lost fanatics still believe that that shark had a Dharma logo on its fin. And going on the truth about that, we have to go back to one of the first episodes where Sayid tripped over a black cable on the island going into the water before he got kidnapped by Danielle. There could be an underwater station using that chord for power/communication/etc*.

5b. The Dharma Plane; don't confuze the 'dharma logo' on the plane as a real logo. http://lost.cubit.net/pics/notDharmaLogo.jpg someone made that picture to debunk the plane theory.

And here's a special 6. for ya'll....

The sickness; I found somewhere the best theory on the sickness that makes the last episode of Lost (Charlie tripping out) one of the more important ones of the season. Danielle told us about the Sickness but was never into the specifics of what it was other than it took over her entire party and she killed them all. Now, what if this sickness is a mental state of the differentiation of good/evil. A definate need to do something for the greater good no matter what the circumstances. Case in point: Charlie wants to save the baby ... why? Dunno, but he has the sickness now and that's his new mission. His brain is telling him nothing else matters besides that baby's safety. Maybe Locke has it as well, he took a dark turn for the need to protect the baby as well. Just a thought.
