Technically yes Tk, but they use these contract so certain titles eg. the GTA series can only be sold on a Sony system. same with HALO on Xbox. my point is, Because of these contracts, some games are being prevented from being played by both sides, i know its nice, having a console that you can play games you're friends cant, but it is kind of annoying, all those PS2 people bragging about how good it is because they can play Final Fantasy, and GTA.
I have played both games, and i still think halo is much more fun when you have friends to play with.

Xbox hasn't had any great games come out that I am aware of. PS2 is releasing games right and left.

What is with Gamecube not releasing that many games?

On a different note, I still haven't bought a game yet for the xbox for the kids. I need someone respectable(ala Troll King) to tell me which game to get them. Like tell me what game and why and I'll go get it.

Can't help you very much here, MG... I don't know of many Xbox games, especially any that I would find suitable for kids.

(Especially not that new DoA beach volleyball game )

Depends on the age of your kids. Halo was one of the funnest games I have played in a long time, hell, I even put SS down for a bit to play that game. It really isn't that gory of a game though. They have racing games out for it, not sure of the quality though. Probably doesn't compare to gran turismo 3 on PS2. I don't have any games to recommend for really small kids.

Ps2 has cheap good games, The graphics suck but you get what you pay for. XBox is fun and anyone that has XBox and halo knows the advantages of XBConnect. Im tempted to turn my XBOX into a PC using linux. :P Microsoft cant tell me what my XBOX is used for :P

I have a PS2 and a gamecube, but my friend has the xbox. Overall, I would say that I have had the most fun with my PS2. Even though the others have some great games as well. Someone else recommended panzer dragoon and that would probably be a game that is appropriate for younger kids.
