I wish I could get on the course every day! Would be great!!!! My comparing this to George Sr. was that during the entire crisis in the past Guld War, you saw him every day on the news fishing or golfing. Not to stick up for GWB, but the news every evening does not show him in Maine on a boat or on a golf course. I am sure he plays...but it is not the entire focus of what he is doing when the media is covering him, like it did for his father.

Lose the flare and start saying what you mean. Your brand of rhetoric isn't helping your argument; it does grab attention, but only if the reaction you were looking for was "what the hell is wrong with this guy?". You're acting no differently from the talking heads on CNN that you deride.

You've always been great at cutting to the point, while cutting away that overactive emotion that isn't good for debates. I get too hot-headed and say things just to stir up shit, I need to stop reading these kinds of posts - I know it's only setting myself up. I guess my over-all point is.. I want the U.S. to stop doing NEW stuff. I mean they've got enough to do already.. and hell if they would of spent even a fraction of the military budget on developing hydrogen, we'd be alot closer to a new fuel source - and they would have less reason to put so many troops in the middle east. Meaning more troops at home, and occupation lightens, works more for both parties I'd think.

On the Jesus thing, if I could spin off this category for a minute...seems everyone in my area recieved a DVD in the US Mail called "Jesus" of which was timely delivered on Passover to every household in the Philly area.

I am curious as to why a church would mass market such a thing when most people will toss it in the trash causing more pollution of a non bio degradable product. Would Jesus be in favor of this? Pollution?

I must admit I gathered as many as I could for the DVD case and tossed everything else.

In a time when there are multiple 24/7 TV channels devoted to Jesus, why was it necessary for a church to waste so much money in sending out something that would obviously not even be looked at? The costs must have been pretty large. One would think that if the church was interested in helping people and understand the teachings of Jesus, they would not have wasted the monies in mailing and perhaps put it to a better use in aiding the homeless or Katrina victums.

I just find it hypocritical, as most things that are done by ANY organized relegion.

we are too cool to actually declare war, what you MEAN is that we'll go into another 'conflict'.

Although it would seem that at least the air force is preparing for this, since i got notification that AF boot camp is being extended 2 and a half weeks and teaching some new courses to the recruits to better prepare them..not that they'll do anything anyway :P
