New Super Mario Bros., the first true SMB title since the SNES.
Sure sounds like fun, maybe. The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hour Glass.
If it doesn't turn out to be a better game than Link's Awakening I won't be pleased. Final Fantasy III, the last FF game to be released in North America.
We can only hope its the last final fantasy released ever. Seiken Densetsu DS: Children of Mana, a continuation of Square's Mana series.
Same as zelda, but seiken is in a much worse boat since none of them past the first one has been worth playing.
is this sarcasm? FFXII? FF Dirge of Cerberus? Are you missing something?
Saturn because a few people once said Nintendo was for little kids, so everyone else started saying it too.
Nintendo has the most original games out of any system, whether it's from them or a Third Party Developer.
It sucks to choose between PSP and DS, cause it depends on what mood you're in at the time. Sometimes you want to play some cool laid back story mode game, and sometimes you want a quick 3D pickup Fighter or Racer. And both consoles don't offer what eachother offer. If you really think you're going to be spending a lot of time on a Plane or a Bus or some shit, or riding bitch in someones car, then get a PSP for music, movies and games.
But if you need something for like 30 mins a day, soon to realize you have too much of a life to play handhelds and you wasted 150 bucks but everyonce in a while you pick it up to blow time at the 5 hour DMV wait, then get a DS.
LOL all nintendo can do is re-release OLD games, nintendo should have gone out of business after the 64 but we all know the greatest nintendo game of all time is GOLDENEYE 007 $$$

Thanx for all the replies. Richard can you tell me how does the whole wi-fi thing work? I went to the Nintendo website and it says that I can either connect from home or I can look for hot-spots. So does that mean if I am not in a hot-spot I cannot play online? Because where I live (Toronto) the hot-spots are scattered. One more thing. Is it possible to surf the web with the nintendo DS?
I have also read some stuff on the PSP. From what I can see the battery life is really short and the thing is fairly large. I would also like to know if one can surf the web with the PSP. One of my friends at work said that you could download nes emulators for your PSP as long as you have a memory chip or whatever. I dunno myself.

Fire Emblem I and II

Multiple new Zelda titles
Viewtiful Joe
Ikaruga
Tales of Symphonia
Just the games off the top of my head that I've played the crap out of and find enjoyable, that aren't re-releases. I could pull up a huge list of their other new games if you want, just lemme know.
I used to think Goldeneye was one of the top games (Starfox 64> Goldeneye) , but my friends and I played it awhile ago along with Starfox and they are...alright. They were awesome for their time but I don't think there can ever be a "best game of all time", simply because your tastes change and what you thought was awesome when you were 15 (hi there goldeneye) is merely ok now.
EDIT: The PSP isn't too large, it's around the size of a pop-tart, just a little longer.
My father in law was telling me over Thanksgiving about this amazing bartender at some bar he frequented who could shake a martini and fill it to the rim with no leftovers and he thought it was the coolest thing he'd ever seen. I then proceeded to his home bar and made four martinis in one shaker with unfamiliar glassware and a non standard shaker and did the same thing. From that moment forward I knew he had no compunction about my cock ever being in his daughter's mouth.
The only thing on that list I'd ever play is Ikaruga.
Oh shit I just had a thought, IKARUGA DS, also the entire backlog of all vertical shmups need to be ported to that system. Nanostray will never be able to compare and just plain can't cut it, I need bullet frays across TWO screens vertically here people.

If there isn't a connectable wifi access point near you and you don't plan on buying a router or compatible nic/dongle (which the DS is REALLY picky about btw) then you won't be able to play against other people unless you go to some place that has one, it is possible to surf the web, but not for a while as they still have yet to release the Opera browser for the system, but it is coming.
I have also read some stuff on the PSP. From what I can see the battery life is really short and the thing is fairly large. I would also like to know if one can surf the web with the PSP. Supposedly it is very short, I hear 4 hours a lot, but I think it may be more, I'm not sure, I've never even come in contact with a PSP before (something about fear of AIDS) but supposedly it isn't that large either, but it has an analog nub sticking out of the top of one of the sides, making the overall thing much bigger when you want to take it with you place which you have to do in the shell provided. As I understand it you can surf the web from the PSP, I think the browser is built in, again, not sure.
You need an SD or memory duo stick/card in order to store anything you want emulated, but there's a big issue with it all, unless you can get an older firmware PSP, your options for emultion will be limited, and in some cases, you'll need a copy of liberty city stories just to get possibly any homebrew to work, and using gta, your choices for homebrew are quite limited compared to if you were rocking v1.5 or what not of firmware. Supposedly, you can "freely" change the firmware of the system, however, it's sony, and sony obviously hates its consumers, so I don't think its possible to truly free up your handheld from the bonds on homebrew they ship the recent ones with. There is some web sight that has all the information about PSP homebrew you could need, but I can't remember it at the moment, pspupdate or pspupdates maybe? Your best bet would be google.
I have both systems and I can't say one is better than the other. Here's what I reckon about them:
DS is possibly more interesting and has a longer battery life and with the upcoming new DS 'lite', it should have be even longer. I'd wait out for that if you choose DS as it is also smaller, has a brighter screen and better build quality if I believe what I have heard.
PSP has a lot of other functions (mp3, video, internet, pics) but are you really going to use that? If you would, then this might be the one. The PSP costs more than the DS and costs even more for a decent-sized memory card to fit everything in. You may want to use the NES emulators and such but if you're not a techie it's probably not worth the trouble.
Apart from that (and whatever else I've forgot), it's down the games. I've spent 95% of my time on both systems playing Lumines on the PSP. If Lumines was only on the DS, I'd be playing the DS instead.
Edit: Removing what I suggest you should get since ideally you should somehow check them both out first.
