GHB was not banned because I didn't find him funny. He was banned for spamming the hell out of the boards, and if anyone wants to do that in a show of consolidation they'll join him too. If you feel I banned him because I found him boring then why the hell do these forums still exist? You have full license to report me to the internet police. If, much like Zerzera, you feel your internet bum-chum was banned and need to invent some persona to attack me with, knock yourself out. Do it in the confines of the rules though

Recently more and more people have started adopting the internet forum persona's of other people. People have started typing completely in lower case and without any punctuation because they see other people doing it and find it funny. Various people look up to GHB so we've got a plague of fucking sorceror smilies and nonsensical threads. People have started deliberately mispelling words, although that gimmick's related to being stoned and nearly everyone who fails to correct a typo is not stoned. Its much funnier if you just be yourself and say something witty/interesting, rather than say what someone else might have said.

If we're interacting as a society, and the only means we have to converse is through text, then yes things like this matter as it alters your entire personality. If you adopt someone else's style then you have no personality of your own.

It's odd how people seem to be protesting as if that were the reason GHB got banned. It wasn't. It was for spam. The "GHB's not funny anyway" argument wasn't a reason for a ban, but rather a response to people who wanted GHB unbanned just because they think he's funny. That's not reason enough for him to be unbanned.

The reason "funny" comes into the argument is because if you make a 100 useful threads, you won't get banned.

I thought GHB was mostly funny, especially in light of the craptaculous forum. I.E, ergo, thusly, I did not think any spamming occured. Judging by the response, I wasn't the only one that found him funny. Ok, so, not *all* of the threads were winners, but hey, no one else here poops gold all day long, either.

That said, I'm pretty sure GHB knew what he was getting himself into so.....nine, ten, big fat hen.
