It's not just the blog entry Re-Loader pasted that referred to the people in the story by their first names, the article it gets its information from, originally published in the East London Advertiser on the "More on this story" link, did it too. I don't know what kind of publication that is, but that article was sloppily written. Use of first names is usually reserved for referring to children or to avoid confusion if multiple people share surnames.

In England they people are not allowed to have weapons anymore. Their government has disarmed them. Citizens are left to fend for themselves against machete chopping animals while more non-white immigration is crammed down their throats.

gotta love stupid statistics. lets take a gander at a recent census, with the population of blacks in the U.K being 2-3% on average (11% in london) the fact that whites have such a "high" rate of attack by blacks is because over 90 people out of every 100 are white. theres more oppertuinity to target a white victim, infact its alarming that the rate of attacks of B on W isnt higher because it should be. the fact that white on black crime rate is 3% makes sense as 3/100 people are black, there are more chances to target a white person. those statistics in context support the idea that race hate crimes are pretty rare. well thats just my interpretation.
