This. If he's been saying stuff like that, the last thing she wants to do is end up alone with him. Especially because if she brings that up, he might feel like she's attacking him verbally and flip out on her.
My father in law was telling me over Thanksgiving about this amazing bartender at some bar he frequented who could shake a martini and fill it to the rim with no leftovers and he thought it was the coolest thing he'd ever seen. I then proceeded to his home bar and made four martinis in one shaker with unfamiliar glassware and a non standard shaker and did the same thing. From that moment forward I knew he had no compunction about my cock ever being in his daughter's mouth.

I probably will have to tell management eventually.

Lots of you say to talk to him or something - but you don't realize how crazy he is. It's impossible to have a conversation with him at all. He's worked there for over a year and is still at the entry level position. My point is that when I say he's completely crazy, he really is completely crazy.

I'd still feel totally horrible about getting him fired though. It's probably the only job he can get. He can't really help his babbling out loud, so I'd feel really bad for getting him fired because of it.

Also, I don't know if he has the mental capacity to stalk somebody. If you tell him to do something he'll forget what he was doing a minute or two later. When he's bagging, every few minutes you'll hear, "Plastic is ok Bob."

Basically my point here is that he's completely crazy but I think he's harmless.

The stalking thing is all psychological, he'll be going with his gut instincts if you will, its not something you imposed onto him like a command to do something at work like you just said, so the stalking thing would be quite natural and within Bob's capacity to do so.

But he doesn't know what he's saying, or doing, so he might do something that's really out of line. On the other hand, he's really freaking me out to the point I don't even want to be at work when he is anymore.

WHAT TO DO?! Anyone else have experiences like this in any way, shape, or form?
First off, you need to tell management that you're not comfortable. Taking ownership of your discomfort is the responsible thing to do.

Secondly, it sounds like he's off his meds, or the meds he's taking need to be modified by his psychiatrist. Being silent about this problem isn't doing anyone a favor, not even him. If he's not taking his meds, then you shouldn't have to deal with the consequences. And if he IS taking them, then he obviously needs to modify his treatment program to something that is more effective.

My best friend from childhood turned out to be a schizophrenic who hears a variety of angry voices, so I definitely know what it's like to be harrassed by someone like that. He felt compelled to call me at all hours of the night to babble about random wingnut conspiracies that he believed he was the victim of, or call me up and just say mean things to me. Then I would hang up, and he would just call back. There was no rational way to talk to him. But when he is following his medication program, he's bearable to be around and doesn't behave this way.

You have no way to know if he's harmless or not, and yes, I agree that talking to him instead of your boss would be completely the wrong thing to do. First off, you don't want to trigger any anger from him, secondly, you don't want him to fixate on you any more than he already is.

Just start eating a lot of cakes and hot pockets. Eventually, if you gain enough weight, he won't find you attractive and he'll stop talking to you.

In all seriousness, I'd talk to someone about it. Either him or your manager/resources rep. or both. Try to solve the problem before you just throw your hands up in defeat.

We had a problem like this at my work where this one guy kept calling up one of the girls, who happens to be my ex, and asking to have some phone sex with her and shit. She busted into the store crying one day about it, so we told our manager. Apparently this douchebag has done it before, so he was fired immediately.

Moral of the story: Go tell your boss immediately

That's tough, if I were in your position I'd be totally lost myself. If you can't talk to him, the best thing you can do is try to convince management to move him to another position.

Ignoring it won't make his babbling go away, and complaining to management could possibly get him fired. Have you ever asked other employees if they have similar problems? Because if they do, then maybe it'd be best to act now and not later.
