but other than that, mgs3 was fun and god of war has its moments (i can't play it for more than an hour at a time, though).

anyone played shadow hearts 2? it's pretty much the best rpg for ps2, and believe me, i've played all the shitty ones you guys listed. every other square rpg for ps2 besides ffx has been good in one single area and mediocre in everything else - i need more from a plot than dragon quest's banal attempt at a story (play xenogears and you'll know what i mean). kingdom hearts 2 is the most pointless game in the world, especially when i already played it four years ago. if kh2 was a band, they'd be some shitty techno group that remixes all of their songs and releases the same cd over and over again. i can't stand the battles in disagaya and suckoden 3, nor in star ocean or la pucelle. i enjoyed xenosaga but man was it short, and i won't even mention the second installment. maybe i'm coming from left field but what happend to the ingenuity it took to create rpgs like vagrant story and chrono cross? not to mention those wonderful final fantasies that come out once every century. WHERE DID THE MODERN RPG GO? i don't want to spend 50 hours a week lagging through "epic" bossfights with six-hundred people, either. i mean, yeah, it was fun like five years ago but can i get a state-of-the-art game that doesn't involve some online component? why is this what they think we want? is it what you want? i, on the other hand, would much prefer if they spent all that time and money on making good games, rather than making me bear through their tawdry, overpopulated, skillless world of warcraft bullshit. but that's another story. as i was saying earlier, covenant and ffx are the only rpgs worth playing on this system.

what's that, 4? ummm, klonoa 2 will rock your world. i love that little guy. i'm with tk on shadow of the collosus (although i liked ico just as much, if not more). i really enjoy games that make you enjoy life more not only while you play it, but long after you beat it. i guess i'm queer like that.

and i know that's six but i have no idea what rationale lead you to pick six, so i'm going to go ahead and do seven. san andreas. that's all i have to say. pure blockbuster entertainment that even bilbo can manage. if i really was stranded on an island, i think i'd probably pick this game simply because i would never get bored. awesome, awesome game.

I've never liked consoles. Except the old ATARI from the 80's, the Nintendo 8-bit and Sega 16-bit. The older...the better.

Besides, I suck at using any controller if it has more than 2 keys and a joystick.

Jeem, Shadow Hearts 2 is definately one of the top 10 ps2 rpg's no doubt. Have you played the 3rd one? Does it suck?

I bet you never even played the original GTA :P I was playing that game back in grade 11-12 when it first came out in 1998. Around the same time Postal came out. Back when running over cops was 2d and seemed offensive :grin:

You're kinda right, actually. Rockstar offers GTA I and II for free download at their website (http://www.rockstargames.com). I did play it for a few, but I got kinda bored because it was so unlike GTAIII and later.
