Agreed Nockm, that rumour can't be true at all. Do you even have an idea how much 1080p HD screens cost these days. Only TVs which is really good or high-end costs that much. People would get broke if they needed such a thing to get the most out of their PS3.

A new format is going to be expensive in the beginning, but it will drop fast. I highly doubt that the games will be that expensive even when its coming out.

To the main point: PS and PS2 cost 5000-6000 kr (806-967 $) when it came out to Norway, and people still bought it like crazy, I couldn't get one until 4 months later.

600$ isn't much at all, 3720 kr? That's 2-3 days of work for me. Lets add up to norwegian taxes and other stuff, which will prolly make the start price here at 6000 kr. 5 days of work? That isn't even much. I could even buy it with the pocket money I get from mum.

PS3 is not expensive, stop whining. If you want quality, you have to pay for it, its not some plastic shit like GameCube.

What you should be suprised about is that the Wii controller actually has buttons, in fact, a game like smash brothers could be played entirely on the nunchuck itself, z=a c=b, simple, you could even use the motion sense of either controller for anything but it would most easily be used for smashing.
