Pirates of the Caribbean 2*SPOILERS ABOUT*

Thought it was excellent, good acting by Depp again. Orlando Bloom was kind of faggy, and when you wanted people to say something they wouldn't say it, they'd just keep it bottled up like in pirates 1. I thought it was kind of confusing and hard to understand that african fortune teller or whatever. It was obvious that Jack probably survived, but i didn't get what was so fascinating about Barbosa surviving? Also, the cracken was pretty cool

I saw the premiere and I loved it! Although Keira making out with Johnny was NOT cool. And of course we know that Jack survives - there's no way you could have a pirate movie without Jack Sparrow in it. Although yea, I don't understand how Barbossa could still be alive. I need to watch the first one and then the second one again....

Obviously Jack doesn't survive. He's dead (or his soul is trapped) and the 3rd movie is about the journey to get him back. That's why Barbossa surviving was so important. The witch doctor chick asked something like "would you be willing to go to the end of the world to get Jack back? Then it would be good to have someone along who has been there". Hence Barbossa has come back from Hell or where ever and he can help Jack do the same. The 3rd movie will be finished filming in mid August and will be aptly named "At World's End". Depp has already told the media he would like to see Pirates of the Caribbean turn into the 007 series, with a new movie every couple years, but it's doubtful the rest of the cast (namely Bloom and Knightly) would be so inclined. The writers created the 2nd and 3rd movie to finish off the love story between Will and Elizabeth so if there is a 4th movie, Bloom and Knightly would probably not be main characters.

Overall I'd give it 8/10. Really funny, good action and great special effects, but there was no way it could avoid losing some of the magic the original had. It was also about 10-15 minutes too long since I found myself looking at my watch near the end. Oh and all the 12-15 year old kids in the theatre didn't help either.

Watched it a few hours ago. Does anyone think there was something going on between Jack Sparrow and Elizabeth?

I enjoyed the comedy, but the story line was a bit silly. A zombie ship captain with an octopus head, that is really scary isn't it? (yes I am being sarcastic).

i thought it definitely was not nearly as good as the first. seems kind of like it was simply a bridge between 1 and 3. there were no resolutions. other than that, at times the movie seemed almost incoherent and rushed. how on earth did knightly's character even get on the black pearl in the first place? and there was soo much magic this time. it's turning into star wars or something.

keira knightly, though... wow. i mean, i actually thought she was hotter in the first one, her face was too tan in this one. but still, god damn. so hot. every scene she was in all i could think about was fucking her. i think i even popped a boner when she was getting all tease-y with jack that one time.

Umm that wasn't the Black Pearl. That was just some merchant ship that she slipped onto after escaping the carriage.

It scares me to think what your brain went through trying to understand the plot in the first Mission Impossible :P

And the captain of the ship even said there must have been a stowaway. That kind of thing happens. As for escaping her captors, her dad let her out of prison and the captors only caught her dad and an empty carriage. They didn't explain what happened but they certainly gave you enough to fill in the blanks.

Are you sure you didn't pass out for like 3 minutes? What happened was that knightley slipped out from the carriage and went to Lord Cutler Beckett (the white haired faggot)'s office and made him put stamps/seals on something, I think it was her and bloom's release form. Then she disappeared from his balcony which overlooked the ocean. She must have boarded the ship for East Indian Company soon after that.

I would give the movie 7/10. The idea of a powerful, scary zombie with an octopus head is just too dumb, it is so silly it is hilarous.

Saw this movie the day it came out, and I must say that I thought it was FUCKIN amazing. Good acting by everyone, especially Johnny Depp as usual. Lots of action scenes kept the movie going, which I thought was awesome.
As for Barbossa showing up at the end, I was like "holy, shit, can't wait for the 3rd one now".

By the way, did you guys wait until after the credits? They showed a little something IT WAS AMAZING! Just kidding it wasn't important, but it was still pretty funny.

It was ok. A lot less funny than the first one, but with an upgrade in action. I found Depp less interesting this time, and Blooms character still has absolutly nothing to him. Kiera Knightley is hot, she can talk proper to me anytime she wants.

All in all it was okay, maybe a 7, the ending was painful obvious, it really really was. Total setup for 3 which will impact how I view the rest of two. if three tanks, I consider 2 a tank too. Worth seeing, DOesn't have to be seen in theatres.
