So who here is a paintball fan, what kinda gun/equipment do you use? What do you find really good, what did you find really bad? I'm looking to invest in some gear, most especially some thermal head gear, because there was some brutal fogging up issues with my old headgear yesterday.

I played for a year or so about 2 years ago.. i was on a team that was going to be sponsored locally. I had the latest Smart Parts Impulse with nitro as the gas, an egg hopper and a magnetic trigger. When i first got it the gun was clearly too big for me, but a guy who played for Dynasty came to ref a local tournament, and he went into his bag and gave me a what used to be 50$ shark drop foward, so i have that on it now too.
I can hit around 25 BPS
but haven't done it in years..Comment

I'm a big fan, but I just don't have the money for paintball.
I've never owned my own, but used someone else's and usually got stuck with the runt-gun. Often times a pump.
Are you playing for teams, or is it backyard? I've only played backyard and have never seen the inside of an arena with my real eyes.
But you should try this scenario that my brothers and I once tried:
We had 3 guns, Spyder, Tippman, and Tippman pump.
It's pitch black (or moonlight) outside, the two guys with the semi-autos have glowsticks indicating position at all times. The man with the pump has no glow stick and can easily hide. However, he has a pump...and he has no hopper. He's also going up against two guys with semi-autos and hoppers full of balls. But they DON'T SEE HIM. It's really a rush for both sides.
When I played, I had the pump...I got the first shots off and I know I hit them, but the balls didn't break, then I got pummeled

well, yesterday i went to a new place with the boys, and we failed to check to see if they had anything special going on that day, seems like they did.
A huge tournament, 16 teams...of cops
So i'm not feeling to good at this point in time. Cops and me tend not to get along, almost as much as with my buddy Luke, who has a crapload of unpaid parking tickets. Well, they rolled us onto one of the cruddier teams, and we carried them to second place.
I'm currently thinking of maybe a BT-4 Ironhorse. No decisions made yet though.The only TWO TIME TWLJ All-Star and TWLB All-Star who never played a game.

tippman pro carbine, man i swear to god i have beat the living crap outa that gun and it only fires slightly sideways, . all the rest of my gear is standerd cheap paintball crap. but that tipman just wont quit.
paintball story - my first game ever ever, i wasnt even near the play field and i got hit by a stray in the side of my mask, made me realize that real war probably sucks alot. the end

the tippman a-5 is a very versatile gun. i've slowly tinkered with mine over the years, adding the cyclone feeder and the flatline barrel, a retractable stock, and an optics scope (with the red dot). it actually wound up looking like a 98 sniper, except badass.Comment
