Wii are all excited for this new system, am I right? I just hope it plays MP3s, cause I really want to hear the sound quality of "Wii will rock you," my favorite song. If it sucks, I will send them a picture of my Wiiner by Wiimail. Har Har. :stuart:

Why is this 'Strikers' going to be so good? I played Mario Tennis and Mario Golf, enough said.

What Nintendo really has going for them is that it appears that people are going to either buy a 360 and a Wii or a PS3 and a Wii, mainly because of the low price and the whole motion sensoring thing. Could this take the #1 seller spot? Maybe, #2? Most likely.

Come back to reality. It's all about game selection, not price. Ever since Nintendo got real competition (sony) they've REALLY lagged behind in number and quality of games. A lot of people wont even bother with Wii and just get ps3 and x360. Look at gamecube if you want a perfect example of your price idea.

Nintendo will take the predictable 3rd spot.

Look around at some gamer polls of "You gonna buy a Wii?" Most of them are about 56% yes or Yes with another system.

New console releases from Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo will determine the future of video games for the next half decade. Microsoft launched the Xbox 360 late in 2005 to get a head start on the competition--Sony and Nintendo will launch their new consoles this year. The Xbox 360 sports excellent hardware and a robust Xbox Live online platform, plus Microsoft has pockets deeper than the Mariana Trench. The PlayStation 3 will be just as powerful, with advanced Nvidia graphics, a custom-designed IBM Cell processor, and new Blu-ray drive technology. And Nintendo will have a new controller that bares a striking resemblance to a television remote control.

Seems obvious to me. I think someone's just in denial that Nintendo is dying.

Downplaying the Wii for it's "controller that bares a striking resemblance to a television remote control" would have been a decent argument before it got rave reviews from the industry and the media, and also before Sony hastily added tilt-sensing to the PS3 controller after Nintendo annouced the motion-sensing capability of the Wii controller. If Sony is adding their own inferior version of Nintendo's innovation, then pronouncing the Big N's demise is a much bigger display of denial.

Read the entire page. Look at the statistics of the system. That's the main point, the controller is just funny.

You say it looks funny, and yet it's getting rave reviews. It's also generating a lot of buzz while the PS3 keeps getting negative press.

Critics like you are saying that Nintendo is dead because it won't win the console war. What you overlook is that it doesn't need to. Nintendo's business plan for the Wii seems sound. It fits into a price bracket that offers many consumers a viable alternative. With the pricing plan, established franchise games, innovative controller and (finally) an online plan, Nintendo will do well.

You must be forgetting that Sega took over number one spot from nintendo after the Genesis came out. Some might call that competition.

I don't f'ing care what the controller looks like, I would've been fine with the boomerang controller too, as long as it worked well.
