And btw the reason i care about religeon isnt because im trying to get an intilectual boost from people on a 2d spaceship game its bc of other multiple reasons.


Such as Presidents saying things like
"No i don't know if Atheists should be considered as citizens, nor should they be considered patriots. This is one Nation under god."-George Bush sr.

In either 6(or 7, can't remember) it's illegal for an Atheist to hold office or to Testify in court.

Another reason is they are trying to get creationism taught in public science classes. That is not science and i have no desire to listen to that, thats what people bring their children to church for.

I care because i'm forced to say "under god" in the pledge of alleigance and hold money that says "In god we trust". Personally i dont find it a big deal, but if it said somthing against god people would make it one.

I also care because people are killing eachother in the name of god.

According to a Nationallt study by the University of Minnesota Atheists are the least trusted minority in america.

In the United States it is illegal for me to hold public office or testify in court in seven different states..

I care because of.. laws that restrict what I can do because of other peoples' religious beliefs..
I care because the words "Under God" appear in the pledge of allegiance..
I care because the motto "In God We Trust" was placed on United States coins..
I care because the government of the United States was not founded as a Christian nation..
I care because there is ample evidence that many of our country's founding fathers were not Christians, and were against having one religion favored over others in this country..
I care because we are seeing religions attempting to control what is taught in our schools..
I care because we are seeing national policy decisions being decided upon by.. religious fervor..
I care about religion because we are seeing fanatics killing people and blowing themselves up in the name of their religion..

They might be using "active" as atheists who announce and advertise their atheism. There are plenty of atheists who don't tell people in fear of what might happen if a theist sees them. I know of atheists who used to have Darwin fish on their cars and other trinkets who had their cars keyed, tires shredded, etc.

But if they mean that there are only 300 total atheist in the United States, then yes, they're way off.

This whole thing reminds me of a guy who, when reading an article on The Onion about abortion, thought it was real and decided to campaign against the teenage girl mentioned in the story.
