It simply did not make logical sense to have a retarded forum game be stickied in a Gender Discussion sub-forum. If you want to play stupid forum games, make a sub-forum for it and sticky yourselves up the ass. The point of the threads being organized by date is to keep popular threads at top.

To make it easier to locate if that's all a person is going to view the GD forum for anyway.

Rules are being revised. You'll have that as an announcement at the top instead of stickied in one subforum.

The game is no different to the other examples you've cited. If the game does not fare so well, then it will be unstickied.

If it's popular it won't be difficult to locate, this forum is not nearly busy enough to warrant any level of difficulty in finding the the topic. If they're just going to view it for the mafia game they can take the entire 3 seconds it would take to locate the game, since popular topics are at the top. The previous mafia game didn't have any trouble staying at the height of the topics, so in theory, neither should this one.

I'm glad rules are being revised, will it be a seperate announcement or will it just be thrown into the anouncement topic? I'd appreciate an easy to find list of rules instead of having to sift through posts; it would be great to find it quickly if that's all I'm coming to GD for, after all.

Who exactly is flipping out that much? I can see Gen doesn't like the idea but he's not being nearly as dramatic as you are. I know you're lumping everyone that disagrees together with Gen, but I'm going to speak for myself, since I can't talk for everyone else. I'm not upset about this to the point of screaming "OMG" over and over, blasting Linkin Park or talking about how this forum's going down the shitter with 3 stickies. I simply think important things should be stickied, and not temp. games that get enough replies to stay at the top of the first page anyway. This isn't a major battle of wits or me telling you to go outside, I'm just giving my opinion on the matter, like you gave yours.

The reason you want it stickied isn't valid, and actually ironic if you're talking about people whining over decisions. If you don't want people saying "OMG" over and over and telling you to go outside, saying things like "I changed this and made this and bent this rule because I wanted to" is not going to lessen complaints, only increase them. The topic won't dissapear in the blink of an eye, people who play will post in it and keep it afloat.

Superted was talking about the decision to have the game stickied as DG's, not the game itself. Unless I missed a few topics where some other issues have popped up, the only agruments I've seen picked are on this subject and the Sarien deal. This isn't nitpicking because people don't want a game you like stickied, some just don't agree with the decision. If you don't agree with a decision, what do you do? Make a topic or scream and get angry over the internet and tell people to go "fuck off and go outside"? People are going to respond to what you do, and their reactions are going to change all the time- how you handle these reactions is what's important, not how they acted. If you think someone's acting like an E-rebel, yelling and getting "angry" over this topic isn't going to get anyone anywhere, negative actions won't be adressed with negative reactions. If you disagree with Gen, just say so instead of building this into something more than it has to be.
